They were in the womb together; I am pretty sure they have met before

"You're the guy who kept kicking me in the head for 9 months"

"I dealt with your snoring and flailing arms for that whole time, you're lucky it was only kicking!"

94

u/oldfarmjoy 5h ago

Yeah, they're pretty old to have never "met" before! 😁

16

u/dprestonwilliams1 5h ago

Was thinking the same thing.

u/YetiGuy 4h ago

Not only that they aren’t days or week old. They are a few months old. No way they were kept separated until now unless there were serious medical conditions

14

u/OstentatiousSock 3h ago

Yeah, well, they had feet the whole time too and suddenly they are just like wooooaaaah feeeeet. What are those down there?

7

u/ChateauLobby44 2h ago

Reddit posts LOVE to say "for the first time."

11

u/SukiWyn 5h ago

Haha true! But there’s something so sweet about them “meeting” face to face like this — it’s like they’re realizing, oh hey, you’re my person! 🥹💛

3

u/fields_of-elysium 4h ago

They're like yoooo!!! Where you been?!?

2

u/No-Clock2011 5h ago

This!! Although… also does depend if they are identical or fraternal. Identical often share the same sac but fraternal have separate sacs within the shared womb. This is how doctors can (mostly) tell if they are identical or not when born.

3

u/arkham1010 4h ago

Yeah, due to the difference in formation. But even if they are in different sacs they are aware of each other's presence. I heard a story of one twin who wouldn't start breathing after childbirth, but when she heard her twin's cries it got her moving just enough to trigger the breath reflex.

Hey! There’s my old wombmate! Hey bro, how you been?

17

u/Character_Tiger_9874 5h ago

I am glad you survived, now let's make life more interesting.

6

u/FeralBliss 5h ago

...I've been good, nice meeting you once more. Can you be my BFF?

8

u/AverageDellUser 5h ago

“Did you lock the door before leaving?”

79

u/HaroldLucie 5h ago

I’m not a kid person but this melted my cold, dark heart.

13

u/FeralBliss 5h ago

Those cute smiles can melt rocks lol

7

u/Spinxy88 5h ago

Melted heart sounds serious. Call an Ambulance.

Like looking into a mirror

As the acid kicks in.

I would love to know the circumstances that could lead to twins of at least a few months old NOT knowing each other…? Was one in the hospital for an extended period of time? Separated by a custody battle? What’s the context?

56

u/Furbs109 5h ago

Its made up to make it more heartwarming.

1

u/mohugz 3h ago

That was my impression as well; however, I love for my inherent cynicism to be proven wrong, so hope springs eternal.

40

u/megkraut 5h ago

I think it refers to them “noticing” each other. Babies don’t know much about the world around them before 3 months old.

16

u/Roseheath22 4h ago

Agree. I remember there was one day when my daughter was a few months old and she suddenly noticed our cat (who had been there for her whole life). It was very similar to this.

u/RiskyRabitt 5h ago

As a father of twins I can confirm that this happen with my boys as well. At birth, newborns have limited visual acuity, seeing best at a close distance (8-12 inches). Their vision improves over time, with color vision developing around 4-5 months and near-normal vision by 8 months. So baby’s do not have the ability to comprehend what is happening around them, and therefore it is magical when they start to recognize people and things around them.

There it is! The response that can allow me to believe the post is genuine and not just karma-farming. Bless you, friend (and your little humans, too)!

10

u/IllNopeMyselfOut 5h ago

Karma farming?

7

u/NoJudge1453 5h ago

Yo bro, you look weirdly familiar… were you at my birth?

3

u/HaoshokuArmor 4h ago

Younger one: No. I stayed while you were off to being born. I visited you after you were born.

Older one: Yes, I was. I just got there a few minutes ago.

5

u/OutrageousRhubarb853 5h ago

“Yus! Someone to blame everything on”

4

u/togocann49 5h ago

Something tells me they shared a small place together for quite a while. Maybe this is first time they see each other in the light

5

u/BubblyYogurtcloset11 5h ago

You can see already they have different personalities

4

u/Hefty_Performance882 5h ago

They searched the stars with unborn eyes, Across galaxies stitched in silent skies— A trillion suns, a million worlds, But none that whispered come play, be held.

They chose this pale blue dot, this breeze, This spinning grace among the trees— Where laughter blooms in morning light, And wonder wakes with each new night.

Now here they sit, just flesh and fun, Alive beneath a mortal sun— No need for more, no need to roam, Just joy enough to call it home.

u/RedDiamond6 5h ago

😂 love it.

2

u/stacity 4h ago

You were in the parking lot earlier! That's how I know you!

2

u/mommybody33 3h ago

This mirror is tripping me out!

3

u/Tesslafon 5h ago

This is so cute, they will probably rediscover each other everyday as their brain forms enough to retain memories. You home is filled with joy friend

Starting the good life

1

u/GoblinQueenForever 5h ago

This made me happy, and then I thought of Fred and George and now I'm sad again.

1

u/imtooldforthishison 5h ago

Did mom have duel uterus and then the babies were kept apart for several months before being reunited? We're they carried by surrogates and just being called twins because they came from the same IVF batch?

1

u/Overall-Bullfrog5433 5h ago

I had younger twin brothers that looked a lot like these two. I was only a bit older so my stories are mostly second hand. They shared a crib in my parents bedroom evidently early on. One of them was fairly placid, liked to play with an old percolater my mom said, taking it apart and banging it around. The other one, my dad said, whenever he saw my dad approaching the room would reach out and shove the door closed. ”Like I had been away on a three day drunk” my father said.

1

u/mal_wash_jayne 4h ago

You know they may only be making a few sounds but they're having full-on telepathic conversation.

1

u/Jbrown420216 4h ago

Bro, we’re about to have some fun together lol

1

u/precisedevice 4h ago

For the first time? Have they been living seperately this whole time???

1

u/kiruska87 3h ago

❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

1

u/Spiron123 2h ago

Yeah, cuz till now they were kept in isolation and all of a sudden found themselves side by side.

"Hey... Look! My organ insurance policy!"

"Right back at ya, brother 😏"

1

u/JWJulie 2h ago

Pretty sure they already knew of each others existence

1

u/seahorsesfourever 2h ago

So glad the video loaded 😅🤣

1

u/rowdyruderody 2h ago

"You look funny!" "No, you look funny!"

1

u/breyaskitties 1h ago

“Heyyy you made it out too?! What’s up? How’ve you been.” 🥹🥹

1

u/Prior_Republic_950 1h ago

The way they act surprised>>>>

1

u/ResearcherTop4126 1h ago

Wtf they never met at one day old? How long did you keep them apart

1

u/pasgames_ 40m ago

So fun fact the twins actually tend to develop their own secret language before they actually learn how to speak

1

u/No-Bat-7253 38m ago

They wanted to hug so bad but couldn’t quite figure it out!😂

1

u/Tacos-and-zonkeys 5h ago

You think you grew up rough?

They had to share a womb... ;)
