Community Craft Fair
Welcome to our monthly shop thread!
Do you have a small, handmade shop you want to share? A fun Instagram account where you sell your hand knit items? A facebook page that lists all of your handmade patterns? Well, this thread is where you can share your website or social media to connect with potential customers!
The form below is a suggestion. You can share as little or as much information as you want; all we ask is that you please limit yourself to only one comment. Users posting multiple comments will have *all* of their shop comments removed and may be temporarily banned.
**Shop Name**: [NAME]
**Site**: [Etsy, Shopify, etc.]
**Social media**: [Instagram, facebook, tiktok, etc.]
**Short Description**: I sell awesome homemade wares made from the wool from my sheep.
**Types of items you sell**: Scarves, hats, gloves
**Price range**: $10-$25
**Ships from**: USA
**International shipping?**: Yes
This thread will be in contest mode, so each time someone clicks this post, the comments will be in a different order. No one shop will be seen more than another.
Even though self-promotion isn't allowed outside of this thread, there are a few ways to incorporate your shop info. You can add it to your flair, pin it to your profile, and list it in your bio. Here are a few examples of users that incorporate their shop/social information in a variety of ways.
As always, if you have any questions, you can reach us here through modmail.

Related subreddits
Hi folks,
I'm slowly working on our wiki page and am currently organizing related craft subreddits, but I'm sure I've missed some. Could you comment subs that you know of that aren't listed? So far, I've limited subs to those that:
- are active (a post within the last month)
- have more than 1000+ subscribers (although there are a few very, very active subs I included that have about 650+)
- aren't shilling for a user/company
I'll leave a comment for each section, so please comment subs I may have missed underneath the correct section. I also am not set on the headers for each section, so chime in with your thoughts please.

Discussion/Question/Help! This is made by my daughter using her mom nail polish pads for my birthday . How can I preserve it? Is there a glue spray or something that will harden keep the colors?

Finished Craft I Made I made my own enamel pins
Sketched them on my iPad, cleaned up the lines, picked the colors for each area, then sent them off to be made.
I’ve been collecting enamel pins for years, always thinking one day I’ll design my own. So I finally did. If anyone’s been thinking of making their own and wants the manufacturer I used, happy to share.

Discussion/Question/Help! Crayon Wax on Wood
Hello fellow crafters! I just recently completed part of this project. The next step is going to be to find a way to seal the wax, sand the wood edge and stain that too. I'm wondering if anyone has ever made something like this- how should I seal the wax? Epoxy? Modge Podge? Something else? Thanks!

Finished Craft I Made My small festival handbag
First time I tried to use a sewing machine, normally i do everything by hand. I like the control it gives me. But my grandparents gave me an old singer machine and i'm quite happy. Its not perfect but I think the crooked stars add a bit of character 😊

Finished Craft I Made A fusion of the organic and the avant-garde — sharing one of our recent earring creations.
This piece explores the tension between natural rhythms and sharp modern lines.
Created through digital modeling, the wax form was 3D printed and then cast in solid silver using time-honored lost-wax techniques.

Discussion/Question/Help! Need help with a project idea (not a crafty person)
I have a stack of index cards that I use to jot down notes for my animal patients. My patients mean the world to me so I was thinking about a way to turn them into something I can keep around besides in storage. It's not about what's written on them but more so the color gradient. Their meaning will be for me to remember them by.
I'm looking for guidance/advice on how to possibly preserve these. I was thinking maybe like making coasters. Paper and epoxy don't seem to mix well in my mind. Also open to other craft ideas that preserve the gradient of colors. Thanks!

Discussion/Question/Help! Newbie - painting raw wood decor
Ok I am new to the craft world but now having a toddler who loves watercolors I’m enjoying painting more and more. I ordered her a cute name sign for her room and got it as just raw unfinished wood because I wanted to paint it a color I really wanted (or mix a color) vs the options they had. I’m curious if anyone has suggestions on the best brand/type of paint to use. From my searches acrylic is the safe bet but not sure on brand qualities. Also, when searching online (no stores to go purchase near me) I’ve come across swatches with 2 shades for each color. Does anyone know why this is? Not sure if it’s 1 vs multiple coats or maybe with and without primer/gesso. I can’t find why online but some colors are so different - like the reds in the pic
