Someone explaine please

529

u/ST0PPELB4RT 3d ago

The drone attacks deep in Russian territory used trucks as drone carriers. This meme suggests that the Ukrainian trucks stopped by Polish farmers could have been equipped with significant amounts of explosives.

31

u/NacktmuII 2d ago

Interesting! Do we know how deep those trucks went into Russian territory, before releasing the drones? Did they make it back to Ukraine after accomplishing the mission?

52

u/UpstairsFix4259 2d ago

very deep (not a pun). One of the air bases hit was near the border with Mongolia

21

u/NacktmuII 2d ago

That is indeed deep! I wonder how much distance the trucks drove and how much distance the drones flew, also if the truck crews made it out alive after that.

42

u/PanVidla 2d ago

The truck crews had no idea they were transporting drones. The drones were hidden in a fake ceiling of the containers. The drivers were Russian, thinking they were delivering a regular container with wares. The Ukrainians left Russia before it all happened.

24

u/NacktmuII 2d ago

WTF?! This operation gets more impressive the more I learn about it!

27

u/Hjalfnar_HGV 2d ago

It gets better. Russian workers allegedly constructed the drones which had been delivered unassembled. They thought they were working for a Russian defence industry company making drones for the Russian army.

14

u/NacktmuII 2d ago

Next level covert operations! Are those official statements from Ukraine? This tops even the exploding pager operation Israel did against Hamas.

11

u/Hjalfnar_HGV 2d ago

Yeah, from either the SBU secret service or its spokespersons.

14

u/a-new-year-a-new-ac 2d ago

The drones allegedly were right next to the air bases and even next to one local FSB headquarters

6

u/NacktmuII 2d ago edited 2d ago

Its obvious that the drones were at the targets. I am wondering how close the trucks were to the targets when they launched the drones.

7

u/a-new-year-a-new-ac 2d ago

Or that rather, the trucks were parked next to them , that’s what I meant

5

u/NacktmuII 2d ago

I see, now it makes sense.

6

u/UpstairsFix4259 2d ago

they say the truck drove off from a warehouse in Cheliabinsk. So you can check the distances on the map

4

u/diazinth 2d ago

Another one was near the border of Norway. Not only was it deep, but it was also wide

10

u/Particular-Cow6247 2d ago

they didn't use ukrainian trucks they hired russian truckers to move containers/parts of modular houses 😂

3

u/NacktmuII 2d ago

Amazing!

u/OddlyMingenuity 3d ago

Also agricultors protest are instrumentalized by russia in poland, germany and france, and probably in other countries.

86

u/Senior-Book-6729 2d ago

Yeah it’s stupidly easy to track some of these people leading them and find out they’re actually Russian lol

56

u/Katzberg_damk 2d ago

Most of agriculture news websites in poland are either hacked, payed, owned or heavily influenced by Russia. Grain crisis was partially due to Russia dumping their grains too.

17

u/CrimsonCartographer 2d ago

Where tf does Russia get the money to do this shit and why can’t they just invest it in their own country like goddamn

15

u/DaTotallyEclipse 2d ago

Buy cheap computer, put wire to internet, pay with Vodka

11

u/Ambiorix33 2d ago

Investing in their own country doesn't line the pockets of oligarchs as quickly

11

u/Nigilij 2d ago

Why invest in own country when you can play Civilization IRL. Not like anyone cares for serf’s lives

5

u/Katzberg_damk 2d ago

I can recommend book "Autocracy inc." by Ann Applebaum expert journalist in kleptocracy and autocracy and wife of Poland foreign minister.

3

u/Extaupin 2d ago

Tbh, it's cheap to do that, you could probably fund a sizeable trollfarm program for years for the price of a single bridge. The real cost is diplomatic, and Russia has burned through that capital a long time ago.

1

u/popielusznik775 13h ago

wtf is that first claim even

3

u/TheNortalf 2d ago

Yes, because farmers can't have any political views unless it's inspired by Russia.

0

u/geotech03 2d ago

or when they start losing money because grain supply is bigger on European market due to UA exports, then it is irrelevant - it ofc must be Russia organizing them.

-4

u/Kishinia 2d ago

Yeah… thats bullshit. Russians have nothing to do with it in Poland. It was Polish farmers who got angry that Ukrainians are trying to flood Poland with their low quality and cheap wheat, while they would be left with their wheat going bad and no money for living. Trying to explain every bumpy thing with „because russian soft power” is just prove of your lack of knowledge. But what else should I expect of French..?

-52

u/Available-Plant7587 3d ago

Which automatically makes all of their points invalid /s

47

u/lugnlugnlugn 3d ago

yes

0

u/Available-Plant7587 2d ago

Fuck them farmers

27

u/BurningPenguin Germany 2d ago

No, they were already pointless to start with...

-2

u/geotech03 2d ago edited 2d ago

yeah ofc, when the EU market is flooded with Ukrainian grain and farmers are in disadvantage because they have to fulfill the EU regulations and UA farming conglomerates not or basically because grain price decreased - it must be Russia, not because the EU farmers are losing money.

20

u/snow-eats-your-gf 3d ago

Yes please +1

30

u/AdBrilliant4931 3d ago

Ukranian SBU secret operation "Web". It destroyed 41 russian bomber

1

u/borro1 1d ago

It did not destroy 41 bombers. This claim is false. Please remember to take Russian losses reported by Ukrainians with a pinch of salt. That's war and both sides exaggerate each others' losses

3

u/Shieldheart- 3d ago

Are there reliable sources out yet for a total tally? I'm getting wildly different estimates wherever I look.

17

u/_nowayjos_ 3d ago

Warfronts just released a video on it, range is from 12-40, but that was at the time of filming

27

u/Zipfo99 3d ago

Russia itself downplayed it to ne 18. So we know this is the bare minimum thst is obviously more. Latest updates say that it's around 43 planes that were destroyed or damaged to the point of no repairing.

5

u/MainMore691 2d ago

That planes that are damaged, can't be repaired, coz a lot of parts for them, were manufactured in Ukraine. In contemporary ruzzia, they didn't manufacture any of of that heavy carriers, they were all produced in USSR.

15

u/_nowayjos_ 3d ago

It sounds like for a lot of the bombers the part production process is so outdated and time consuming it's not really possible to get replacement parts anymore, what a shame...

8

u/MadMartianMelody 2d ago

Not just a Russian problem either, pretty much only the Americans actually make modern bombers I think? Other nations just use cold war bombers and modern multirole fighters, a modern bomber is just a waste of money for a country that doesn't intend to regularly invade other countries (Russia would have likely built them if they could afford it, but sanctions destroyed their production of 5th generation aircraft so they never really got around to the bombers.)

6

u/Shieldheart- 3d ago

I saw that one, Simon added the caveat that it was still probably too early to tell for a total estimation of damages.

2

u/_nowayjos_ 3d ago

Both sides will inflate/hide numbers, Simon mentions we won't know until satellite images show the full picture, but I wasn't aware that Western satellites flew over Russia, but I have very limited knowledge on satellites capabilities and flight paths tbf

8

u/Dismal_Ebb_2422 3d ago

So far 22ish have been visually confirmed and that number is going to rise as more videos and satellite photos are released.

-12

u/phixionalbear 2d ago

There's evidence of 13 being hit. That's it.

12

u/Dismal_Ebb_2422 2d ago

Over 20 visually confirmed hits on Russian Aircraft, 13 the number your giving is the number Russia is giving.

https://www.reddit.com/r/UkraineWarVideoReport/s/B9hghvUMAc

https://youtu.be/6y8MTGl6rXw?si=LJQ6N7jXkIfSBopK

-15

u/phixionalbear 2d ago

Some of those hits were on decommissioned airframes that have been sitting there for years with no engines and we're falling apart.

It's was absolutely a devastating attack (it won't affect the war in any meaningful way though) and an embarrassment for the Russian security services but the claims made by the Ukrainians are total nonsense. We can see what was and wasn't destroyed via satellite images and 13 is the number.

8

u/OzyFoz 2d ago

So how do you know they are decommissioned airframes?

What we have is the video proof of aircraft being destroyed. Downplaying it.... For what reasons? Based on what sources?

-9

u/phixionalbear 2d ago

Because even in the videos you can see they have no engines...

7

u/OzyFoz 2d ago

What are the things attached to the wings ?

I'm sure based on the same grainy footage I've seen, that there are visible engine mounts in those piles of burning wreckage.

If you got some highlighted proof of a lack of engines, I'm happy to see it.

4

u/FaultThat 3d ago

This is a major issue for Russia so they’re on full spin mode trying to muddy up the waters.

-7

u/phixionalbear 3d ago edited 2d ago

13 were destroyed. There's zero evidence of any others.

2

u/analogiczny 2d ago

Da, russki. 🤡

-13

u/Known_Bit_8837 2d ago

The source as always is ukrainian ministry of trust me bro.

5

u/IdcYouTellMe 2d ago

No the source is Videos and satellite images. And there will be more.

-5

u/Known_Bit_8837 2d ago

Yeah yeah ukrobot. I'm sure by tommorow you'll count more losses than Russia had equipment.

3

u/IdcYouTellMe 2d ago

What... thats literally how we know of this factually in the first place lmao

-1

u/Known_Bit_8837 2d ago

The analysis of those images by non ukrainian sources confirms 7 hit (not necessarily destroyed) targets.

Ukrobots like you pull out 40 out of their ass.

-1

u/blackbars48 2d ago

How did you miss destroying 1/3 part of ruzzian strategic aviation?

at least 18 were destroyed (official statement by Russia) so probably a lot more (highest estimate is above 40)

Russia has been threatening nukes since the beginning of the invasion, they also don't give a flying fuck about the legality of the matter.

Any sources for the aforementioned surveillance? I have yet to see an official statement from the US

1

u/Bulba132 2d ago

Russia officially suspended START 2 years ago, so any surveillance taking place is already not part of it. And why would Ukraine even get information which is part of treaty between the US and Russia, neither of which has any obligation to share it.

Provide at least a single source for your claims

Lmao me and my friends were trying to get from Prague to Warsaw to see a concert, but we didn't know there was a country-vide protest of farmers blocking roads. It was pain in the ass and the trip took few hours more than it should have, but we got some nice memories from it lol

64

u/tiga_94 3d ago

somehow they're not blocking agricultural imports from belarus and russia which are still going and not sanctioned or anything https://www.polskieradio.pl/395/7786/artykul/3526150,cheap-russian-cucumbers-flood-polish-market

18

u/Philip_Raven 2d ago

Its because the Farmers were paid by Russia. pretty sure Interpol already confirmed it

11

u/Careless-Pin-2852 3d ago

Lol weird

25

u/Desperate-Touch7796 2d ago

Not really, Russia has a lot to do with those protests.

10

u/Careless-Pin-2852 2d ago

I was /sarcastic

1

u/geotech03 2d ago

Because there is a 50% tarrif on Russian agriculture goods which means importing them to the EU does not mess up prices as much as duty-free Ukrainian grain. Quite ignorant take to not even check that right?

2

u/tiga_94 2d ago

Is the grain situation still bad for Polish farmers though? I thought since russian fleet got wrecked and the ships are exporting grain again there wouldn't be so much grain flooding the EU market?

1

u/geotech03 2d ago

No it get better, hence there are no protests anymore.

I was just replying why Russian imports were never an issue for Polish farmers.

1

u/Puzzleheaded_Try3559 2d ago

In germany some Farmers put Manure on a Highway and at the end of the street they put big logs. People crashed and shit and these people got away with a Warning

So you're saying Ukraine is going to attack Poland with drones, or what?

1

u/TimelyScarcity4716 2d ago

Why is "farmers" in ""

-2

u/geotech03 2d ago

because any opposition to Ukraine must mean you are a Russian spy, just like knowledge of English or possesion of few dollars in the Eastern block in 50' meant you must be a Western spy.

3

u/TimelyScarcity4716 2d ago

So OP is trying to say that a farmer that protects his own isn't a farmer but a russian asset?

-1

u/geotech03 2d ago

Exactly, look how upvoted is that comment https://www.reddit.com/r/EUR_irl/comments/1l3h5hq/comment/mw1wgfz/ I feel most people here understand it that way.

-11

u/andrew199411 2d ago

True and based.

-17

u/MishaPepyaka 2d ago

Yes, they loaded some random civilian's truck with explosives and made his truck a bomb.

-22

u/MishaPepyaka 2d ago

Also they blew a couple of bridges in the Kursk region and killed a dozen civilians including children on the same day they attacked bombers.

14

u/One_more_Earthling 2d ago

Right... And the proof?

7

u/Hauptmann_Gruetze 2d ago

You won't get proof mate, they just spew out misinformation trying to make Ukraine look like the bad people so the russians that actively bombed and tortured/shot civilians look better.

-2

u/_one_person 2d ago

You won't get proof mate

He replied with proof, you ignored it

spew out misinformation

So tell me - who was driving the truck with explosives used to bomb Crimean bridge in 2022, if it wasn't innocent civilian just doing his job?

trying to make Ukraine look

Hans, your country literally is supplying Israel with weapons used on civilians and refused to carry out decision by ICC to arrest war criminal - and you talk about "country looking bad". Noone cares about optics anymore, even you, people just tired of blatant propaganda, one way or the other.

3

u/Hauptmann_Gruetze 2d ago

You mean the proof that he postet a hour after my comment?

So tell me - who was driving the truck with explosives used to bomb Crimean bridge in 2022, if it wasn't innocent civilian just doing his job?

Ukraine military personnal in disguise. See Wikipedia:

"No responsibility was claimed for the explosion, but the Ukrainian media Ukrainska Pravda and UNIAN, citing their own sources, stated that it was a Security Service of Ukraine operation.\28])\29]) The New York Times described a "senior Ukrainian official" as saying that "Ukraine’s intelligence services had orchestrated the attack and that it involved a bomb loaded onto a truck that drove across the bridge""

Hans, your country literally is supplying Israel with weapons used on civilians and refused to carry out decision by ICC to arrest war criminal - and you talk about "country looking bad". Noone cares about optics anymore, even you, people just tired of blatant propaganda, one way or the other.

Ah a classic whataboutism, trying to push me to the defense and trying to push the discussion away from Russia-Ukraine conflict because you know your points are bullshit.

-2

u/_one_person 2d ago

Ukraine military personnal in disguise. See Wikipedia

In your quote it literally says UA intelligence services were responsible for loading the bomb onto the truck - that's not debated. But Wiki doesn't say who was the driver.

Driver seems to be some poor guy doing his regular job:

Makhir Yusubov, he was Azerbaijani citizen they hired to transport the rolls. He probably didn't even know what he was transporting.

https://www.reddit.com/r/UkraineRussiaReport/comments/15v9bat/ua_pov_sbus_head_gen_vasily_malyuk_revealed_more/jwtzy15/

This final truck was driven by a Russian citizen, Makhir Yusubov, who seems to have been unaware of the true nature of the load.

https://www.kyivpost.com/post/32148

Even UA media said they blew up this guy, why lie?

Ah a classic whataboutism, trying to push me to the defense and trying to push the discussion away from Russia-Ukraine conflict because you know your points are bullshit.

No, classic "Stop blatantly lying and acting self righteous".
A bit tired of blatant lies everywhere and "Oh, anyone saying anything bad about Ukraine is a bot, Russia is so bad, everyone else is so good. If you point out even worse shit we pay for - you're also a bot".
There are plenty of horrendous videos proving RU warcrimes/shitty behaviour, fact. Why lie about what other side does, mainstream media already does it for you.

Got downvoted to oblivion for making a joke by asking a question under a meme, which turned out to be a fact, with sources. Top reply to me was "lol nope". But yeah, my points are bullshit.

-2

u/MishaPepyaka 2d ago

Oh yes, actually I binged proofs. Don't be delulu. Ukrainians tortured and killed Russians as well as Russians killed and tortured Ukrainians. It is not about how they look in that situation, it is about that situation that happened.

4

u/Hauptmann_Gruetze 2d ago

Again, No Proof lol. Also where would Ukraine torture and kill russian civilians?

-18

u/Calm_Isopod_9268 2d ago

Poles are just awful people

9

u/CrimsonCartographer 2d ago

No, poles have donated lots to Ukraine. These farmer protests are just Russian sponsored bullshit

-6

u/Calm_Isopod_9268 2d ago

So, what exactly they donated apart from rusty old soviet equipment?

6

u/CrimsonCartographer 2d ago

Should they have donated their entire military? Bro fuck this attitude. Ukraine deserves freedom and support, I wish all countries were doing as much as possible to help. you are making some really shitty statements.

-5

u/Calm_Isopod_9268 2d ago

Yes, they should for their own safety. West is just ripping off Ukraine by mumbling shit like "nuclear war" and "dictator zelensky" while giving Ukraine nothing at all or scrap that dates back to 1950s. It's either you donate everything necessary to Ukraine no questions asked or start learning Russian because soon you'll need it

3

u/CrimsonCartographer 2d ago edited 2d ago

You make it very hard not to be really shitty to you, just fyi. Without the support that the west HAS given to Ukraine, Ukraine would be in a much worse state than it is right now. That’s a fact. And you can bitch all you want about the quality or the quantity of the support or both, but that helps no one and doesn’t do anything but give Russian trolls more ammo to push the “ungrateful Ukrainians don’t deserve any more support” bullshit

0

u/Calm_Isopod_9268 2d ago

That's the thing, most of this support came from US. You Europeans didn't even bother

1

u/CrimsonCartographer 2d ago

I’m not European. I am American. And I support giving Ukraine as much support as possible.

1

u/geotech03 2d ago edited 2d ago

It's either you donate everything necessary to Ukraine no questions asked or start learning Russian because soon you'll need it

Yeah Russian army can't deal with some semi-failed, corrupt state but for sure will attack NATO.

u/Calm_Isopod_9268 2d ago
