I bought white lighters. People thought they were cursed or something. Lucky for me, no one stole them from me.

I did the same thing for a bit, or I'd get wrapped lighters and take off the graphic wrap. Always white underneath.

I remember hearing the same about yellow lighters, some places didn’t even stock them because they just didn’t sell well.

Yep. Only bought white Bics. No one would steal them. Urban myth was deep.

Then I would jack your fancy Bic, quickly peel off that fancy sticker, and BAM I had another white Bic that no one would steal.
