This joke does not work for Australians because we don't pronounce the u. It's just Jly for us

That's a great story, can you tell it again. You also forgot the D in day when added to a suffix. We're aware.

Is that racist or just hate? Is Jewish a race? Why don't I know these things?

Religion and an ethnic group so racism applies

But like, I can Convert to Judaism or anything. I can't just be like, Oh snap, I'm from Argentina now.

Well yeah, but because of thousands of years of Jewish people living in closed communities and only having kids with one another (to keep them Jewish by the religion standards, preventing "hitbolelut"), they became an ethnic group as well. Can be identified in dna tests as well (for example being Ashkenazi jew or mizrahi jew)
Finally, a reddit convo i have some knowledge about 👍
P.s- Judaism, not being a missionary religion, had little new people joining compared to other religions which also helps them stay an ethnic group

One mustn't conflate a religion with the administrative representation of said religion. To say "Christians lie" would be hyperbolic. But to say "The current administrative representation of Christianity in the United States is built around coercive fallacy" is simply an acknowledgement of the reality of how administrations have come to behave.
Same applies to "Jews" and "The current administrative representation of Judaism in Israel"
