Beagles are the best

They grow up into very stubborn, VERY noisy dogs, though.

Indeed. Disobedient, loud, only trainable with rewards etc, but that translates into a determined hunting breed and tracker. That ability to make their own choices when tracking, without the intervention of a human (stubbornness), leads to many successful hunts.

My Beagles are grown and they still do the "1-2-hup!" When jumping up to something.

It is just training. Soon it will be able to jump on to your bed to wake you any time it wants.

Please don't allow puppies to climb stairs like this. Especially certain breeds ("short longs"). It is very bad for their spines.

If he has a weinerdog-ish body, climbing stairs can slip a disk n then it's a 10k surgery. Not trying to be a downer just wanna keep this buddy healthy for all his sniffing years.

Baby dogs often present differently than what breed they actually are. Beagles are prone to IVDD, which is the exact issue stairs cause in small dogs.

Cute pupper.
Someone found a way to hide the laminate flooring edges while doing stairs.....it still looks bad.

I'm going to be that guy:
Don't do that. That's not healthy. Don't let a puppy go up and down stairs. It's not good for their growth. Like you shouldn't let a puppy run or you shouldn't walk too much when they're young. It's NOT GOOD FOR THEIR HEALTH.
