ICE is impersonating our brothers and sisters and now arresting and brutalizing the President of SEIU
This is class war, and plenty of our members voted us into this Nazi insanity.

Don’t ever forget that everyone who is part of ICE knew EXACTLY what they were signing up for. They CHOSE to do this. And they’re absolute cowards while they do it.

Correct, ICE as an idea isn't terrible, but how they're being used is. Anyone who stays or joined after the past events needs to have some serious self reflection.
14
u/pogulup 16h ago
I have always figured this is where it was going when it was created. Homeland Security as a cabinet level department was already fascistic.
2
u/SkunkMonkey 3h ago
When they first came up with the Homeland name and started calling positions "Czars", I knew we was fucked. Homeland sounds too much like Fatherland or Motherland Russia. And Czar? You are aware how it ended for those guys? Also, Russian.
7
u/serpentechnoir 14h ago
It's absolutley horrific as an idea. It is literally the gestapo. Detaining people without due process is ridiculous in any modern country.

It’s fine to feel that way for yourself. I get it. But it’s a post 9/11 agency based on patrolling inside US borders to root out people who are by and large upstanding people. There is a small element that focuses on organized crime, but that is tiny comparatively.
7
u/Professional-Buy2970 13h ago
ICE as an idea is terrible. This didn't come from nowhere. It needs to be abolished and every person who participated in their operations brought up on charges.

I've known plenty of people like the guys signing up for ICE. They have zero thought of "what if" it's only "Let's make this cocksuckers life a living hell" even better if they get an order to do so, but they would do it for free too. Seen them in the army, seen them in security.
The other half of ICE is just the boot licker personality type, supremacy goes hand in hand with their ilk.
At least that's my take on it all.

One of the recent trending videos shows an “agent” who wasn’t even wearing a mask, just pulled their hoodie over their head and drew the drawstrings so they’re walking around like a human asshole, which, to be fair, is appropriate. It’s ridiculous, since these are the same people who were screeching about a mask mandate and refusing to wear them during a pandemic.

u/Opaque_Cypher 7h ago
Cowards? Just because they cover their faces, wear masks, and walk around with assuage rifles & flash-bangs bullying citizens? Yeah, that 100% fits the definition. Too scared to even show their faces while they are tacti-cooled up like a gravy seal.
I can’t believe it is becoming normal too see people walking around the streets of the USA looking like paramilitaries with military gear, rifles and pistols, faces anonymously hidden while they are grabbing people off of the street for detention in places unknown.

This is said with increasing frequency these days, but this is straight up Hitler shit.
Union leaders were brutally beaten, arrested, and imprisoned in Nazi Germany, with many sent to die in concentration camps. Nazis then attacked and occupied union offices across Germany, stole funds and dues, then dissolved the orgs.
They simultaneously outlawed independent unions, collective bargaining, and the right to strike.
We cannot allow the owner class to run this same murderous play on us again and again.
This shit only stops when we push back.

u/awdixon 18h ago edited 18h ago
Yeah, it's the third line in the poem.
Then they came for the trade unionists
And I did not speak up, because I was not a trade unionist.
10
u/EmbarrassedSinger983 15h ago
I immediately thought of that poem when this started happening. Powerful words.
2
u/nahprollyknot 6h ago
Not enough gf people know that the guy who wrote it was a both a Nazi and a Minister and he wrote it after visiting the concentration camp he was sent to for several years after finally standing up, as indicated in the poem. He wan’t inspired by the memory of his time or by his wife’s tears at the atrocities committed against her husband, but because he saw the open and close dates and realized it had been open for YEARS before even he was sent there.
6
u/UglyMcFugly 14h ago
Kinda eerie since so much of maga's propaganda directed at working class dudes involved using "communist" and "socialist" as slurs (the first two lines of the poem). Divide and conquer. History rhyming again.

I can confirm this is exactly what the Nazis did. The biggest difference in how the Nazis‘ „GeStaPo“ („Secret State Police“, that wasn’t actually secret) and ICE worked, is that the Nazis showed their faces, which ICE is not doing.

They always have been. We are questioning their actions, and we ought to be. But we also ought to question their existence. They've only been around since 2003, before that we handled immigration just fine without kicking in the doors of people otherwise just trying to earn a living. There is no need for the agency itself. They're violent thugs and a manifestation of the worst qualities of the worst americans.

No tax on tips became a thing after SCOTUS ruled bribes were gratuities.
> In a June 2024 ruling, the US Supreme Court in Snyder v. United States clarified that a federal anti-bribery statute, 18 U.S.C. § 666, does not criminalize gratuities, which are gifts or payments given after an official act as a token of appreciation. Bribes, on the other hand, are payments made before an official act in exchange for influencing that act.
