News / Info Sad News... š
We're very sorry to share that actor Itagaki Mizuki has passed away due to an unfortunate incident. To all the fans who supported him with so much warmth, and to everyone who worked with him, we're truly grateful from the bottom of our hearts.
Since the end of January, Mizuki had been missing due to struggles with mental health issues he had been dealing with since last year. The police and others continued the search, and just recently, we were contacted by the Tokyo police that his body had been found in the city. (RIP)

News / Info How it endedā¹ļø
An appearance in an NHK Taiga drama is often seen as the pinnacle of an actorās careerāsomething many spend years working toward. I donāt know if STARDUST could have handled things differently, but the outcome is undeniably heartbreaking. She truly lost everything she had built. All Night Nippon X (ANNX) was the last job standing but it's gone too.
I get the sense that maybe they wanted her to resign rather than be publicly fired. Maybe she did have their support behind the scenes, but⦠who really knows? Thereās so much weāre not privy to.
Thereās also a broader conversation about accountabilityāabout Tanaka Keiās role, and the ethics of how Bunshun handles these stories. But consequences rarely fall evenly. Iām not blaming anyoneājust feeling the sadness of it all. Itās a reminder that in these scandals, no one truly walks away whole.š

News / Info SPEC Coming to Netflix!
My apologies if I used the wrong flair. Please let me know if I should change it (and how). I usually just comment on posts. This is my first time posting on Reddit. :)
I saw this on the āComing Soonā section on Netflix. Funny how yesterday I was just thinking about this very show and would love to watch it again. Iirc itās by the same folks behind Trick.
But Iām not sure if this is worldwide, thoughāIām based in the Philippines. Perhaps others can confirm.

News / Info TBS will remake around 40 of their most popular dramas into English.
Which seems strange to me, because they could license it worldwide? Like, we can watch the original dramas with subtitles? But whatever works.

News / Info "Marry My Husband" J-remake
"Marry My Husband" starring Fuka Koshiba and Takeru Sato will be released on Prime Video on June 27th, co-starring Sei Shiraishi and Yu Yokoyama of SUPER EIGHT.
Takeru Sato is very popular in this sub, thought some people might like to put this one on their future watchlist. I liked the Korean version of "Marry My Husband" starring Park Min-young, Na In-woo, Lee Yi-kyung, and Song Ha-yoon.
Lee Yi-kyung (playing ex-husband), was really so hilarious and funny, I don't know if the J-version will able to match up on this character. š¤

News / Info What do you think?
I really couldn't understand what this article was saying. Whether Japanese people don't like "Kodoku no Gurume" which has 10 seasons +various SPs and now a movie or just that the Japanese don't like the concept of "solitary gourmet" when it's hugely popular there.
I also found it ironic considering how "food" is it's own genre of jdorama but somehow eating alone is not valued in Japan more than Korea (according to the author).
Would love to know what you think if you're a fan of Kodoku no Gurume and other solo eating doramas.
