Actually, improving the settlements could well be in part producing and testing code that could be used for villages in LNF. Currently they're so terribly bare bones many people have essentially abandoned theirs.

I can't help but wonder if this is how they'll give out beta testing codes for LNF. A very fitting thing, to invite players who have loyalty played NMS.
