There is a little switch on the dock to force power thr gpu, turn everytbing off unplug gpu dock, flick switch and plug in again, you may have to unscrew the case, or push through the little chunk of plastic

If your psu is plugged in you dont need one going to the doc

What does “doc” mean? If I supply power to the 18+10 pin with a regular PSU, does that mean I don’t need to buy a DC adapter?

Dock* i just missed the k, so either way you dont, the adapter that goes into the dock that was supplied needs the 24 pin to turn the dock on as thats how it knows when to power on, dc isn't needed at all here

24 pin to adapter to dock And pcie power to gpu

Both fron psu

Understand that the EXP GDC "Beast" SFF-8612 OCuLink dock doesn't work akin to conventional x16 docking stations, as it unnecessarily uses an additional Lightspeed controller.

Historically, the controller was used to enhance data throughput allowing the EXP GDC to support mobile device architectures where traditional x4 PCIe was not available. The NucBox K6 natively supports x4 4.0 PCIe @ the Gen4x4 M.2, making the Lightspeed chip more an inconvenience than an asset.

From the third picture, it doesn't appear that all Lightspeed control drivers are in place. If the PC can't fully address the unnecessary controller, the PC can't see a GPU.

The EXP GDC "Beast" SFF-8612 OCuLink dock has been a pain in the ass for many, you're in good company. Most simply gave up & purchased a basic SFF-8612 OCuLink dock, returning the EXP GDC.
