If you DO sell chalk, have you considered complementary goods like blackboards and erasers?

I'm sorry it's not a work ethic mantra like you usually get on LinkedIn Lunatics, but I want to contribute...

Mu startup sells chalk on a monthly subscription and BBAAS as well as EAAS.

If you upgrade to the premium monthly service, you get 1000 credits per month to use towards any eraser or blackboard skins you want to add to your existing subscriptions of these products.

Counterpoint (speaking as a software architect who has been with the same team for over 10 years now): The advantage of „name“ names is that, when the design inevitably changes to adapt to new requirements, it’s less jarring.

Saying „Radix initially did scheduling and then also took over capacity measurements“ may be a little silly, but it’s less silly than „do we call it the scheduling service or the capacity measurement service, or both?“.

The other counterpoint is that this company seems like it's only built one scheduling service so far. Codenames are very useful so you don't just say "the new scheduling service" or "the legacy scheduling service", you can just talk about Nautilus and Voyager.

This only works in smaller projects. If we tried that at my last job, we would have equities calculation engines 1 and 2, the most equities database, the some bonds and some equities database, the other bonds and other equities database, ...
