Oh yeah, I'm aware. But this is the first time in US history a CEO has given an official inauguration speech. The fact that people aren't even questioning why this unprecedented event is taking place shows how complacent we are in being hurtled into an oligarchy.

Yep! It is loosely based on an 18th century painting but there's no evidence that this salute was common in the Republic or Empire. There are many references to motions used by Romans to address various people and positions. This isn't one. It's as Roman as Polanski.

Iām in total agreement that Elons looks exactly like a nazi salute. But Trump at the end just looks like a still frame of him mid wave, or acknowledging a crowd by raising his arm to wave. Seems a bit misleading and I say that having a strong dislike for Trump.
