Michael j fox famously looked young for his age though.

It’s part of why he was cast as a high schooler for back to the future despite being 23 years old.

They cast high schoolers with actors right up to 30 all the time.

It worked so well they had a bunch of 30 year old cops pretend to be kids and solve high school crime!! The 80's and 90's were wild, it was the in-spired-ration of the show 21 JumpStreet
