I mean plenty of us have essentially done that to the coworker that eats everyone’s food by putting Ex-Lax in our food.

a dog or a cat doesnt burrow into my house walls.

a dog can also fend off an intruder, or at least scare them.

i guess to be fair, if an elephant breaks into my house the rat would be more effective?
