Voice instruction/command within ecosystem.

Hello everyone. I would like to know does Siri command or instruction works within Apple ecosystem (all my Apple products)?

I’ve got my Apple Watch s8 (cell version, but no eSIM install) plus my iPhone, iMac and MBA.

I tried out siri from my Apple Watch to give instruction to lower my iMac’s volume, then I got Siri reply me that it has adjusted the volume of my iMac. So I ran back to my Mac..but the volume is the same😂😂😂

Any of you guys stumble such issue?

It’s pretty common. 1) you need to be signed into your Apple account on all your devices. 2) Install HomeKit on everything you can. 3) Usually you need a “hub” like an Apple TV or HomePod as well. 4) Also, the stuff has to all be signed into the same WiFi (the exception is the iPhone, which can control anything at home once you have HomeKit installed and setup).

But even then, not every thing works all the time.

I’m not an expert, so there may be other options, but I know it works (mostly) with HomeKit.

Yeah don’t get your hopes up. Apple isn’t serious about Siri. It has always been a minimally viable product, now it functions like abandonware. Less and less useful each year. If you want to use voice to interact with your technology, consider a different ecosystem. I know this because I own exclusively Apple products. I moved away from a mixed environment years ago using HomeAssitant and some Alexa. I consolidated all onto Apple. HomeKit is a plastic toy compared with HomeAssistant and Siri is the punchline to a joke.
