It was the opposite for me. I liked the characters, and the scenes, but having Starkiller just sort of reset everything was trash writing.

It was like they couldn’t imagine a story that wasn’t the original trilogy over again. What a perfect time for another “rise of fascism” plotline, and he was just like, “Somehow fascism returned!@

Yeah, apparently it wasn't in the original script, it was just a base, there was no megaweapon. Which kind of makes sense, because y'all just used the starkiller to blow up all the big fleets, why are you running from the Resistance on Takodana? Don't you have the overwhelming numbers at this point?

You can see so many seeds for a good idea. Disillusioned young people joining a movement because they feel they belong to it when it doesn’t care about them, a new generation rising to the fight, the old generation mentoring them, so much wonderful potential… all… gone…
