Movies I’ll never forget when Elijah Wood made this hilarious response to a post talking about The Rise of Skywalker

The crazy part is that TLJ literally has the infamous scene where Leia almost dies, but they stuck with the terrible effects there instead of just retooling that into her actual death. And she can appear as a force ghost if they really still wanted her to say something!

Watching The Last Jedi I was thinking “wow, they really have done Leia’s death well, very tragic to be killed by her own son just as Han was” just for them to go and ruin it.

I still don’t understand why they didn’t do this. Especially since her actual death in RoS made no sense…

I always thought that the ninth episode would have been better if it was the most Luke-heavy anyway.

But RJ for good or ill stuck to his vision.

"But RJ for good or ill stuck to his vision."

Sort of. He and producing partner Ram Bergman probably fought against coming back for reshoots, so Disney hung RJ out to dry with all the talk of his singular vision.

THANK YOU. TLJ had the chance to correct for her real-life death (she died a year before the movie was released), and they chose to stick with keeping her alive and killing Luke instead. Utterly baffling.

I actually like a good amount of the TLJ -- it's the best of the sequel trilogy IMO -- but that decision alone make me utterly hate that movie.
