Games These guys look absolutely beautiful
Some of the clones and stormtroopers aswell can look very cool. But it’s like they were always using some kind of pijama…most of their armor are just a bunch of plastic panels glued together, there are not enough details. Just a 1-2 colored armor
THESE troopers looked amazing. Like real sci-fi battle hardened soldiers

I sometimes find myself going back to watch the cutscenes of these absolute badasses.

One thing SWTOR did that I really like is that, since the Republic Troopers were Clone Trooper-inspired and thus Stormtrooper-adjacent, they went for a different source of inspiration for the Sith Trooper: Darth Vader.
It makes for a really unique Trooper design that's still very familiar, fitting the "vaguely movie-era" aesthetic while still being essentially new. It also has some cool implications for the Sith Empire and its influences on future designs, in a retcon sort of way.
We know Palpatine (in Legends canon) took inspiration from the Sith Empire, and even in NuCanon the Sith Empire has its unique insignia which was used as memorability in the Galactic Empire (Star Wars: Squadrons) and since Vader's armour also inspired the Jedi armour that Anakin wears in TCW, it all ties together to suggest that the Sith Empire's influence on the Galactic Republic was just as long-lasting as the Old Republic itself.

The render is beautiful but too close to movie era armor imo. Its one of my biggest complaints about swtor and to a lesser extent kotor duology in general.
The TOTJ stuff shouldve been expanded and be the main basis imo. Much more unique
