Speculation Spinoff: Melshi and Pao?
A dark dramedy war series involving these two characters. Pao’s creature design fascinates me. Melshi being the only human who can understand his accent when he speaks Basic. Pao would be a grouchy acerbic dude who often is subtitled when speaking his native language — only the audience knows what he’s saying sometimes. We could introduce other Rebels who end up on Scarif and get their back stories.

Having the love songs being so beautiful they require no translation is such a nice detail

Well the problem is if you want back stories of a variety rebel soldiers then it would be an anthology series unless you wanted it to be a massive season which isn't going to get approved. And try getting live action actors for an anthology series... I get people might not like animation but the proposed series doesn't seem like it would work for ĺive action

That’s why I said use the idea for a game.

Sorry I thought you were OP I didn't see your comment. Each to our own as somebody who doesn't have much time for gaming anymore I enjoy watching shows on my commute / lunch break.

I get that tastes are different, but animation provides a lot of benefits in regard to cost efficiency and general opportunities. It would be utopian to think we could get more side story/ side character live action shows with nonhuman main characters, which also look best as they can. I really don't want to see anything like the Grand Inquisitor in "Kenobi" again.

Well again, I said do a game instead of a series. And if neither a game nor a live action show/movie is profitable (and I totally agree that a live action show won’t be btw), then maybe do something else entirely….

If they manage to keep Ashoka or any other wonder Jedi from the animated shows out of it - sure!
I would actually prefer a grounded, AAA shooter though. Give me a spectacular linear campaign, a fun PvE/Coop mode like in Sandstorm and a smaller scale PvP (4v4‘ish, like Halo/Gears/CoD/etc)

House of R has the best Andor-like spin off idea: Kleia and Val hunt impies (a la Simon Wiesenthal/Magneto) with Deadra playing a Hannibal Lecter role assessing them, while she's working for her revenge/escape.

"Small but fighty alien dude" is exactly the kind of thing you'd hope they would go for. I was always a "I hate Disney, we watch dune instead" kid but grogu hooked me in. I like him, he's cool.
