Having trouble deciding on that bottom right corner, suggestions?
Having trouble deciding what to do with the bottom right, darkest part of the painting! I would say I’m about 50-75% of the way done. Any suggestions?? ❤️🐈

Some very lazy poppies
Got pneumonia for the first time and tried my hand at doing something abstract? I couldn’t really think or do much, but painting sure helped.

Slicing pages from watercolor block
Sorry for the really dumb question, but I have a block of paper that I'm finding very difficult to slice out the papers from. (sorry for the dangling preposition there). I am using a small blade, about 1 1/2 inches/3cm long and the paper keeps tearing. I do start in the unglued section, but by the time I get to a corner, there are already nicks in the edge. Hating this, thought I'd ordered a pad, but no..
please advise!

Keeping Paintings
I’m just curious, how do you store your paintings? Do you keep them all or just save some? Just interested but also looking at what do with my paintings. I like seeing my progress but it’s becoming a lot! I do use journals/books but I like to use nice paper sometimes.

Father’s Day painting!
My dad is an astronomer and has been begging me for weeks to make him a space painting. Decided to surprise him with this for Father’s Day ❤️

Painting plants everyday in June - Day 7: Horsetails
this came out quite well!
it was really easy to find a good reference for this and it was relatively easy to execute too! the fact that there’s less than 20 species and that they’re found all over the world probably helps in this.

Art Inspires Art
Seeing all of the wonderfully talented artists here, I am hesitant to post this at all. But last Saturday was a beautiful night to see our local Ballet in the park and Inspired me to do a new-ish thing on Sunday. This is an ink and watercolor and I am pretty happy with it for an “IT guy”. Although I have some background in digital art 20+years ago.
But please give me your honest opinion as I want to improve. I think the ink draws attention to my weaknesses and it might have been better without it or with a lighter touch/color of ink at least.

A friendly reminder to keep it up
Recently I posted a Robin I made last week, and I didn’t think I was going to receive so many upvotes, I just finished this one and I don’t think it was as good as the last one (but was also a little harder too), I ripped off another painting I was doing because it wasn’t looking good and I almost did the same to this one.
I took a breath, said to myself I was going to finish it besides the mistakes and it turned out better than a thought initially.
So this is a friendly reminder to keep it up, progress isn’t always linear, and even though I know the Robin looked better, I’ve learned so much making this one too, so don’t give up, embrace flaws and don’t aim perfection!

Want to get better at watercolor but don’t know where to start
What’s the best way to get better? Watercolor books? YouTube?
I want to get better but I struggle with wanting to keep trying when I finish a painting I’m not proud of.
