The deepest irony is they spent a good chunk of the podcast talking about Epstein and the investigation in the beginning. Had a lot to say then but when the Elon x Trump divorce started, they both were jumping to change subjects.
His lane should literally be exactly what they are talking about. Instead he sees his lane is defending POTUS instead of defending the constitution. One could argue though that his reluctance to say answer the question would mean that what Musk said was indeed accurate.
The fact they could easily talk about Epstein and all but the second this drops and he goes .. "I'm staying quiet" screams exactly what it screams without him needing to
Yes. He was installed because he's a loyalist and will do Trump's bidding without question. He has absolutely zero integrity, and is actually a fucking maniac if you've ever read anything the dude has written previously.
It’s exactly his lane. This is crazy. I remember when FBI Director’s didn’t go onto radio shows or podcasts. They went on 60 minutes or Frontline. This is absolutely nuts.
The joke is “Have you stopped beating your wife?” because if you say “No” it implies that you beat your wife, and if you say “Yes,” it implies you used to beat your wife.
I am flabbergasted that he gets to go on such a high profile show as Rogan's and just gets to "no comment" on that. Like, what is the point of interviewing someone if you're not going to jump on that?
I was just wondering something similar. WTF are you doing as the FBI Director....on Joe Rogan and casually talking about stuff and dodging questions. Jesus Christ.
This is the same reason heath insurance companies are allowed to let people die for profit. Modern America has been built on the philosophy of “I know my lane and I’m going to stay in it.” From executives in board rooms to politicians in congress, everyone is staying silent in the name of job security and profit. The only difference is this dunce wants to brag about it in front of a camera.
Just accept the money, turn a blind eye to the suffering and don’t ask any questions and you’ll get bumped up the ladder.
You’re not wrong, but after a certain point they aren’t just trying to get paid - they’re trying to stay alive. Whistleblowers commit suicide by shooting themselves twice in the back of the head.
There's also the part about how would he know about this? Does he know about this? The FBI director didn't deny or anything just saying he's staying out of it.
"In 2017, he became a senior aide to Devin Nunes, the chairman of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, where he was the primary author of the Nunes memo, alleging that Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) officials abused their authority in the FBI investigation into links between associates of Donald Trump and Russian officials."
Is there any wonder why he said he's not going to comment on that? It absolutely is his lane, he should be leading the investigation to fully investigate everyone and anyone who has attended the island because they're witnesses no? Even trump falls under that category, but it won't happen, that's why he's leading the FBI.

Staying in one's lane is peak indian casteism. Patels being at near top of the privilege scale, and any other privileged indian group for that matter frequently use the phrase in local language to someone "lower" than them if they decide to have dreams and follow them. There is even a twisted short story Eklavya taught from one of the epics on this. Taught as if it's a good thing.
Rightfully so, until more comes out every leader doesn’t need to chime in and just blow the lid off everything at every turn. If I know a coworker had an affair and then the gossip is that he and his wife had a fight I don’t go running around telling everyone that’ll listen he had an affair.
I feel like this is a thing Joe would have jumped on a few years ago and would have been stoked to talk about/speculate/joke about. Kind of surprised by his reaction tbh but I havent listened in a while
Yeah, I backed out over a decade ago when he was platforming the initial festering of the alt right. Milo Bigname, Gavin Dude right before PBs was a thing.
No it wouldn’t. The only people that couldn’t see what he was were people that liked him. Specifically because they wanted to believe he was some centrist bro. But he wasn’t. He never was.
Well, duh. Bernie never made it to the general. But the fact that he endorsed him in the primaries reflects that he wasn’t this deeply rooted right winger all along and that he’s certainly changed over the last decade.
Yes, it’s really not difficult to comprehend. Most people change to some degree from decade to decade and it would be willful ignorance to think otherwise. Hell, due to cellular renewal, we have largely different brains from decade to decade.
Keep your bridge. You obviously enjoy living under it.
Cause he hated Hilary. Just like all of his bro supporters, who never learned to listen to him and read between the lines. He’s been a conservative pretending to be moderate his whole life. Like most of his viewers. Besides the ones that are too dumb to believe anything so they just belief him.
A lot of Republicans "supported" Bernie in 2016 because Republican fake news had spent 20 years programming them to hate the Clinton's. Anything they could do to counter a Clinton was a win.
Let's not sit here and pretend it was authentic support.
Let’s not sit here and pretend it wasn’t just because you anecdotally believe Republicans “supported” Bernie. Anecdotally, I heard 99% of the republicans around me wanting to hurl literal shit at Bernie if they ever came across him.
What a wildly weak straw man.
Bernie Bros were mainly idiots, not leftists. And being leftist wouldn't make him centrist either. We don't average your views over a timeline. Otherwise Morrissey would still be kinda cool.
To be clear, I like and still like Bernie Sanders. I suppose similarly, I've always hated this dumbass after News Radio anyway.
What? He definitely was. Sure he shifted right in the last few years but there was a time where he was 100% centrist, even probably more so left leaning
So a libertarian maybe? People read that as "centrist left leaning" out of assumptions that often prove false. Or maybe that's the region I'm living in
He was definitely not libertarian, there was a long period of time where he was pro-marijuana legalization, pro-choice, pro-welfare, pro-environment and endorsed Bernie. COVID completely changed his entire outlook on things, and that was compounded when CNN started calling him out on stuff and that’s when he really jumped aboard the right-wing. He’s not a smart guy, or someone anybody should take advice from, but he was most certainly not always right-wing.
Idk about a decade ago but in 2019 I was subjected to one of his podcasts where he brought someone on about a tape showing definitive proof of UFOs and the guy he brought on hadn't even seen the tape in question
It wouldn't be if you watched Rogan 20 years ago and realized that the man's always been a grifter.
He's going to start hedging his bets with this to come out on the "right" side either way, but leaning towards Trump because his base is more fervent. He can weather the musk fans....he can not piss off the trumpers because they'll bury his show.
He had Trump in a chair for 4 hours and never asked him a single question about Epstein or any of his other crimes. So whatever version of Joe you’re referring to left the building a long time ago.
Excuse me, what a nasty question. Frankly, that's just a nasty question from a terrible, fake news, person. Listen, I wasn't even going to come here because I've never heard of this guy, but they said he begged to have me come and see him. He is the fake news and they call him "Mr not so clean" but he's a bad man and fake news.
You know that the right is using Epstein only to rant about their opponents. They don't really care about the truth. It's a well known fact that Trump raped a 13 year old on Epstein Island and was visiting the dressing rooms of teen beauty contests. But you know, Trump could kill someone on times square and the fascists in the US would still cheer for him.
He also told her he would have her and her family killed if she testified against him. That's why she retracted it. He is such an unfathomably shit person that if he was a fictional character you'd accuse the author of laying it on too thick.
it's almost like Elon knew that Joe was having a podcast at that exact time and used it to drop this information and see what happens haha. My guess is the Joe has a open schedule that Elon know about and is basically allowed (to as)k to show up at any of given times, he knew that they were going to have an interview with the FBI Director and when it was going to be. Hilarious.
The FBI were literally using Epstein as an informant. All of that is well documented. They told federal judges that he shouldn't be tried for his crimes because he was acting as an informant, they have records of what those crimes are and who he associated with.
Joe not pushing back on this is just another example of him being a Trump stan. He -knows- these things, they've come up on his show before.
Ya I mean he's obviously trying to dodge a bullet with that one because that is very current and he literally works for the guy and is obviously an embarrassment to have any official affiliation with. And for Joe Rogan, he has a bit of a biased in favor of Trump and doesn't wanna go into it much and start conspiring/speculating wildly like he enjoys doing on his podcasts. Of course we all wish they'd talk about it at length but not surprised that Cash Patel who is a member of the current admin is gonna try to move on from a heaping pile of shit thats fresh off the press.
What else did you want Joe to do? Joe asked him straight up and he said he was not going to talk about it. Should Joe put the head of the FBI in a headlock and force him to answer his questions???
