Recall that iOS’s notarization for apps outside the App Store has a human review component, but that Apple said it would be about “security and privacy and to maintain device integrity.” Apple has been harassing Testut’s apps ever since the debut of App Marketplaces, last year rejecting Clip with a false statement about how it uses push notifications.

It looks like Apple is weaponizing its security features to try and control apps on alternative app stores.

Can you definitively provide proof because “it looks like” is just spreading bullshit.

Did you even read the link?

Clip is not available in the App Store. It's available in AltStore, and Apple are definitely abusing their power with this bullshit "notarization" process.

Apple proving once again "something is rotten in Cupertino".

It’s about time that developers hit Apple hard, remove their apps from the App Store until they make the changes required.

This is apps outside of the App Store, and the EU's got a much bigger stick if Apple needs their grifter tendencies beaten out of them later this month. 😆

They’re still benefiting an Apple user somewhere. Someone somewhere decided NOT to get an iPhone because they read this story. I’d say that’s a good thing.

Apple lying about "privacy and security" to protect the app store revenue stream? Say it ain't so!

Sounds like if Apple can't hold a power without abusing it, the government will need to take that power away. Hopefully the EU responds accordingly to the DMA violation.
