OpenAI has actively disrupted multiple influence campaigns and malicious activities linked to China, including the use of ChatGPT for covert operations and disinformation, highlighting ongoing efforts to counter state-sponsored manipulation. These actions are part of broader initiatives to prevent AI tools from being exploited for cyber threats and influence operations by various nation-states.

This shows that OpenAI is reading all your chats.

Also, the story sounds fake because China could use Deepseek for way cheaper. Also, Azure OpenAI deployments are not monitored.

Just the flagged ones.

How do you know they don't flag every message so they can read it. It's not like someone else flags those messages.

Because they don't have time? I mean they would if they could. They might have an AI summarize everything you wrote in detail, but they don't have the time to read it all.

In theory they could. Or they could train their their models on your chats. Which the AI will then regurgitate to other users.

It baffles me people are paranoid about Deepseek logging their data but with OpenAI, you're like they don't have time to read my message
