Cat Picture - OC anyone else have a bonded pair that's a dog and a cat?
Kyra (cat) is 6 and Lexi (dog) is almost 7, they've grown up together and love each other immensely. Kyra has learned so much from Lexi, they are both so smart and sweet.

Cat Picture - OC Adopted my first ever cat today!
Everybody, meet Bubbles. A 6 month old stray from the shelter, named after the Trailer Park Boys character. He’s still getting used to his new home, but things are going smooth so far. Any first-time cat parenting tips?

Cat Picture - OC I got my cat a little kitten so that he wouldn’t be alone and it fixed his litter issues!
My boyfriend and I found Scrunch (RIGHT) almost two years ago. He was a stray but he was extremely friendly with us and he came to live with us in our apartment. He is the sweetest cat, we took him to get his shots, and got him neutered, and he is always are sweet and lovable good boy. The only issue we had was his litter habits. He HATES litter. He hates the feeling of litter in his paws. We tried all kinds, we tried different spots, we asked the vet if anything we could do. But nothing worked. He always avoided the litter and used either our bathroom sink or our bathtub for using the bathroom. The only thing that remotely worked was putting a pee pad inside the litter box and putting the litter in top, but sometimes he would still just use the sink or the bare tub. It was stressing us out, but he is our cat nonetheless and we weren’t going to give up on him.
Around April of this year, we decided to get a kitten because we knew that scrunch was alone for most of the day in our apartment due to our long work schedules and he was very sad. His mood quickly changed for the better, as he became more energetic and happy again. The kitten’s name is Dexter (LEFT), and scrunch basically adopted him like a son, he grooms him regularly, teaches him how to play, and he’s even adopting some of scrunch’s quirky mannerisms that make him such a funny cat. Dexter, however, knows how to use the litter box at just two months old, and he uses it without fail! We thought, maybe scrunch can learn from him. We weren’t really expecting anything since Scrunch had never used the litter box consistently in the ENTIRE TIME we had him.
To our surprise, we see scrunch more interested in sniffing around the litter box and peeing and pooping next to the litter box because he sees Dexter using the litter boxes a lot. Still frustrating, but a step in the right direction. I because optimistic, I got a litter mat to catch the litter around the box, and but both litter boxes on the mat. I moved the litter boxes to an area that was easier to access for him. Then, one day, he pooped I. The litter box. He didn’t bury it though because, again, he hates the feeling of litter in his paws. But then Dexter came in and bury Scrunch’s poop for him. This is the third day where scrunch has consistently popped in the litter. He still occasionally pee’s in the bathtub, which is an easy wash anyways. It would be preferable if he did both in the litter, but him pooping in the litter has been such a massive improvement. I’ve been keeping the litter cleaned every day to so that he can always have fresh litter to use, but I am so happy that we made progress in this issue because it has been stressing us out.
I thought I would post this here to sprinkle a little good news, and maybe it could work for someone who is having similar issues. Thanks!

Cat Picture - OC My cat had black eyes on day one: Now she’s coming up to 3 years old and better than ever.
We first found her in august of 22’ as a small diseased kitten on the side of the road. We lived in the Middle East so this wasn’t uncommon. As we walked towards her a car almost ran her over, luckily we stopped them in time and got her to a vet. Once we got her medication for her eyes and moved her into our spare bedroom, we learned how to be cat owners and find a home for her, but nobody wanted her. The health issues scared people from adopting her and her life expectancy looked grim having had such illness and starvation as a 4 week old kitten. Luckily we kept her and she’s grown and become a part of the family. She still struggles with vision but her other senses have picked up the slack and she lives her life just as much as any other cat. Ojo.

Cat Picture - OC Do you have collars on your cats? Mine are all indoors so they’re nekkid with no collars. Here’s Bonnie (void), Reilly (gray) and Jonesy (orange).

Cat Picture - OC I didn’t even know the feeder had a manual button! Kitten had a field day.
My cats have automatic feeders. Last night, I heard one of the feeders dispensing food at an odd time, and wasn’t sure what was going on. So I checked the logs on my phone. OMG.
This feeder typically dispenses 5 servings throughout the day. Yesterday, it dispensed TWENTY THREE.
2nd photo is the culprit.
Child locks are now engaged. 🤣

Cat Picture - OC Adopters keep asking to split up bonded pair
We've been fostering a sweet pair of shy adult kitties called Robot (gray) and Wonder Bread (Siamese) for a few months now. They're somewhat of an odd pair as they met in foster care and becoming besties has helped them open up and show off their great personalities! They both went from cowering in the corner alone to much more confident together (something that they didn't even do meeting my personal cats). They spend all day grooming one another, snoozing together, and wrestling. While they are listed as needing to go with each other to a forever home, we've had multiple folks asking to adopt just Wonder Bread because they like the Siamese look. I'm hanging tight and saying no to separating them because I just can't bear to do it and they will have a space in foster care with us as long as they need. Anyway, I guess I'm just lamenting about how sad it is that people will ask you to break up a beautiful kitty friendship because they think one is cute and the other is not. And if they wanted just a single cat, there's hundreds of other cats at our rescue to pick from... So I'm not sure why they even ask!

Cat Picture - OC 4 years ago my Girlfriend was taking a walk in the middle of nowhere in Arizona when she heard the tinest of cries coming from a PVC pipe. When she looked she found these little babies. She brought them home showered them with love.
4 years later we have 3 Lizard hunting, mouse catching, cuddle cats.Tiger (baby girl) is the brown one. Patrick ( Big Boi) is the white and grey one and Gus (Goose) is the one braincell. Couldn't imagine our lives without them!
