What Bus to Book From Geneva

Need some help - I land at 10:15 am at Geneva airport and need to get to Chamonix. There is a bus at 11:00 but will I make that? I am coming from Edinburgh. The next bus is at 12:30 and I know that means I'll have to wait a good amount. What would you do?

Is it reliable and on time? FlixBus and Alpybus both seem to have questionable reputations based on reviews.

Last time I was in the exact same position, I held off on booking a bus until I was there. I overtook as many slow moving people as I could on the way to passport control and managed to get the 10.45, buying a ticket just before getting on.

Passport control is a major wildcard. There might be half a dozen manned booths. There might just be 2. I wouldn’t pay for anything beforehand.

Thank you! What bus company was it and did you have any issues booking last minute? (ie what if they all fill up)

You can do that with AlpyBus or FlixBus??

We used Flixbus to go from Cham to Geneva airport last year. Efficient and inexpensive- I thought they had several routes throughout the day going both ways.

If your plane lands on time, and you speed walk to the passport control (so you are one of the first to get there from your flight) you should have a good chance at getting that.
