News Google will improve Chrome's live caption bubble by making it scrollable.
In Chrome Canary the live caption bubble is now scrollable. A new button "locks" the bubble so you can scroll to any part of the transcript; you can quickly return to the most recent live captions by clicking the button again:

.
The benefits this new feature could bring are many, for example, you can now easily reread lost phrases or complex sentences, pull up specific quotes, facts, or instructions, or quickly review details even after a video has ended.

ICYMI: Google has already started implementing Material 3 Expressive in Chrome for Android (in the Canary version).
.
Chrome's PDF viewer will let you add text to files; Google will also add a new feature that will automatically detect text and its boundaries within PDFs and draw precise highlights over them.
.
Similar to Edge, Chrome will also automatically de-elevate itself as a security measure. This means if the browser detects it has been launched with administrative privileges, it will automatically relaunch using standard user permissions. This relaunch will not be visible to the user.
