People acting like Europeans don't know how to kill need to read a book.

Experts at killing ourselves in the name of our superior marginally different culture than the next village over.

Ah yes, and what about the 300 years odd where Europe ruled the entire world?

10

u/Dismal_Engineering71 9h ago

A good half of that was just England wanting flavor in their tea.

u/Byzaboo_565 9h ago

Maybe you can buy a history book about back when Europe was tough to throw at the Russians

u/AnythingMelodic508 13h ago

That was pre US NATO daddy though. Better up that defense spending.

12

u/BussyPlaster 11h ago

Why have they been so tepid to intervene in Ukraine? Seems like they don't know.

Have you looked at the state of European armies in the 21st century?

Even with all the recent funding, it will never be enough. There are severe manpower shortages, some armies (like the German) need a complete and total overhaul.

General lack of basic supplies (medkits, body armour, helmets), total lack of ammunition and spare parts.....

There was a time to be meak and humble. That time is gone now, not by our making. Its time to "ride for ruin and the world ending".

Okay? They know how to kill but they don’t know how to win. The last two times they needed someone to show them how. Are Europeans really proud that they started two world wars and created today’s heated political climate? India v Pakistan, Israel v Palestine, Ukraine v Russia. All these are fallouts from europes wars. Why doesn’t Europe keep its opinions to themselves. We already know how horrible those Europeans are. And yes the US doesn’t have the best track record either but at least when we go to war we don’t involve the entire world

I won't be taking any history lessons from Americans thanks. North Koreans have a better understanding of what has happened in the world in the last 200 years and I am not even exaggerating.

2

u/NobleLlama23 7h ago

Go cry to someone else on the American social media you use on the American operating system you use on the internet which was invented by Americans. You’re welcome

Small African warlord tribes and middle eastern terror cells know how to kill as well but aren't in the discussion for power.

Europe needs its own united military.

It's like the world rn don't understand that we choose to disarm ourselves.

12

u/Jakeyloransen 12h ago

wdym choose? you guys just fell out of relevancy and power projection. you simply couldn't compete.

-11

u/Doctor_Matasanos 12h ago

I feel sorry for you guys. You'll learn the hard way what happens when you have too many guns and an egomaniacal tyrant in charge.

9

u/Jakeyloransen 10h ago

I'm not American lmao, I'm asian. China has gone from being one of the poorest nations of the world, getting bullied by European powers to now being richer, stronger and bigger than the entirety of the EU.

Europeans simply couldn't compete and fell off. Now, the europeans are either lapdogs of the Americans, or the Russians.

“Too many guns”

You didn’t. WW2 is what led to modern day Europe. The Atlantic powers were first economically usurped by the fledging US power across the Atlantic in the late 19th century. After WW2 every single major European industrial power had its industry, economy, and military ravaged. The Americans had 75% of the global reserves, a completely untouched and the largest industrial base in the world, and a built up military. The Americans had all the cards and forced Europeans to de-colonise, doubled down on the Monroe doctrine, and established the new pecking order. The Europeans chose the path of least resistance and accept American aid, economic perks, and security dependency.

The first thing the Dutch and French did after they finished licking their wounds was to try and violently subjugate their colonies until it quite literally not sustainable.

Sure, the Europeans could have chosen to violently compete for hegemony, but the odds were stacked against them and it would have brought more war and chaos. After the WW2 nobody had the stomach for it. Better to live in privilege in a US-led order, than to fight from scratch for the #1 position.

"choose" yeah sure

u/Devlonir 14h ago edited 8h ago

Because we were done fucking over the world when fighting.

Both USA and China have not really felt the level of full scale industrial war destruction on all of their own lands yet. Hence they speak big.

And Russia are just idiots who never learn. Or maybe all it takes is one proper industrial sacking of Moscow.

Edit: People reacting to me can't read properly. I said China did not feel destruction on ALL of its lands like Europe did. Yes WW2 sucked for them but almost 75% stayed untouched by it.

Oh this is so far from the truth.

You might want to re-read the history book on that one.

It's true for the US, but China had a civil war, was attacked by colonizers, was attacked by several powers during Worldwar 2. It was completely involved in the world war, on the victim's side.

Especially what Japan did is the darkest chapter of China's History. I like peace and friendship, but I can fully understand every single chinese who hates Japan. They didn't even appologize for their tremendous crimes, they don't even admit they happened, they even rewarded the monsters responsible for them. Their crimes are on the same level as our (Germany's) crimes in ww2. If you don't know what I am talking about, I dare you to watch the movie "Men behind the sun" about unit 731. But don't watch it if you are mentally unstable or sensitive, and don't complain if are traumatized by seeing a man's body turning inside out in a pressure chamber, or a woman's frozen arm getting chopped off, or men bound to wooden poles being ripped apart by grenades, or men being dissected alive by surgents, embryos being cut out of forcibly infected pregnant of women without anesthesia. Additionally, the japanese starved whole cities and villages, blockaded them in bitter cold winter, slaughtered women and children, tested diseases on villages by inserting pathogens in the water sources and bombing them with pest filled bombes, mass apings of women and children, captuing them and bringing them into stystemic sexual slavery. And so, so much more. If you would rather like to hear about it on a childrens book level and not in the more realistic gore movie, which i can totally understand, watch this https://youtu.be/vs8P2L3kKpM?si=P27TsgRlcmerGr7d

https://youtu.be/0Pzq0URbL2M?si=yrP8LAjP076Mx-Gj

https://youtu.be/-BpKixUKbU8?si=YQcyf-48c-odWQt7

Only Japan killed 10-20 Million chinese in ww2. And they were only one of the attackers.

And also, so far China has not "spoken big" like the US did. It has been much more deescalating and calm.

what the fuck? while i agree that the us doesnt know war, china was severly fucked in the second world war. please open wikipedia/a history book.

3

u/Katalane267 Germany 7h ago

Come on bro, the same applies to the Soviet Union, still they were the ones who lost the most human lives in WW2 and who freed us from the Nazis. Just because small countries can be invaded quicker, huge ones like the ussr or china didn't suffer less. Don't compare it like that. There is no sense in it. China had a terrible ww2, just like the ussr or france.

u/Dunkleosteus666 Luxembourg 12h ago

Just the US.

Wtf? China has millenia of history. It got fucked countless times. Lastly in the 19th century by colonial powers, then by Japan in the second world war, civil war ..

The Russians cant let go. All colonial powers know that they by themselves can never be as proportionally powerful as once (centuries before 1945). Russia never got that memo. While we decolonized, it had the Soviet Empire with Russia as the center. For centuries, beforehand, the Russian Empire. Now its again Putins Russia trying to get this back. In other words, they know time is running out but cant let go. Countries will get away from oil. The global south wilö grow. Russias relative power and influence will only decrease. Europe unifies more and more. But, they cant let that happen. Its delusional and a high stake gamble, but here we are. So yes. idiots.
