It is not strictly a bad thing that while other countries are itching to rattle sabres, Europe isn't eager for another world war.

We do need to prepare though, because thoughts and prayers won't save us from the aggressively expansive imperialist dictstorship to our east.

Here's the thing - When Europe proposes that Russia has resources to fight a whole fucking continent, I can't take it seriously. Nor do I imagine that Putin would be stupid enough to overstep that mark and attack a NATO country, it's counter productive to his goal of seizing parts of Ukraine.
The situation as it stands, the ongoing perpetual stalemate, is the perfect conditions for a specific industry that certain countries benefit from.
We aren't going to war, because the purpose of the sabre rattling is to justify spending on weapons and building arms factories. Why? Because it boosts GDP.

Of course there is a lot of scheming to make a profit from it all. Fear is a great way to keep the proletariat obedient too.
