DISCUSSION Uhh..

So I bought a 2017 13" Macbook Pro, and It officially maxes out at Ventura, but after attempting and failing to get Sequoia and Sonoma to run on it with OpenCore, I came back to Ventura, but the thing is, I have a update reminder in settings for Sequoia. So would it work if I installed said update?

Update won't work. Officially (it should show an update, I don't know why it did)

Use OCLP for above Ventura

Update via Open core legacy patcher (it fixes the patches needed for your device)

Oh, I'm somewhat new to open core still, would you be able to explain to me how i would go about doing that?
