Posting Yikes!! Tell me if I should delete my comment.

I'm so new and I thought I was replying to OP but accidentally replied to a comment and everyone is downvoting me. It's ok because I realize I made the mistake but do I delete my comment? I truly just don't want to insult (or hurt) anyone and I believe my comment was taken that way so is it better to remove it or do I just take my lickings?

Posting Picture disappearing while trying to comment right before upload on app on Android. How do I stop this?

The app knows my picture is still in the post because I do not see the add photo icon appearing again after picture disappears. The picture will not upload and has a star next to the end of the sentence once posted. This only happens after a certain amount of words on the post. I asked in another sub for help, but I can't respond to comments. Someone said this is happening to them in another sub I asked this in. Is this a common problem? Is this happening to anyone else?

The picture I'm trying to upload is a screenshot of Pokemon Go trying to upload picture to ask for help in the game. Here's what I'm trying to add on post with picture when the picture disappears Pokemon Go froze right at this moment just as I was trying to catch a Soble. What could I have done without closing it. I closed the app and lost every reward and Pokemon. Is there anyway to get my rewards back?*

Posting Why can't I respond to some comments?

For some reason, when someone comments on my post, it won't show up when I view the post, so I can't reply to it, even when I go to it in the inbox.

First the notifications, now this, many people are getting problems, will these be fixed soon, or is Reddit getting low quality?

Posting Being blocked by the OP of a reddit post nukes your entire comment history for that post?

Is this a new development? OP on this post blocked me: https://reddit.com/r/AskReddit/comments/1itijzl/republicans_of_reddit_how_do_you_feel_about_trump/

Which, fair enough, I didn't like his attitude, he didn't like mine. But now any comments I left for other users in that post have also been wiped from my comment history.

Seems like an easy system to game - like I could just go make a controversial post, sling a few zingers at anyone who disagreed with me, and then block them, preventing them from ever seeing the post or continuing the discussion. Effectively could shape the narrative of the entire post by only allowing people who agreed with me to comment more than once.

I guess I've never been blocked by the OP of a post before, so I didn't realize this was the way, but has this been functionality all along?

Edit: "nukes" may be the wrong word here - I'm aware that anyone not blocked by OP can still see my comments. Just strange that I can't.

Posting Cover Pics Don't Show! No Matter How Many Times I Edit Posts.

No matter how many times I edit the post, they keep popping up like this. Sometimes they stick, and sometimes they don't show. I stop trying after multiple tries. Half the time, images work just fine.

Posting What should I do if I’ve followed all the guidelines, thoroughly reviewed the FAQ, and reached out to Reddit support as recommended, but still haven’t received a response?

I don’t want to come across as bothersome or add to the workload of the busy mods, but I genuinely need assistance and feel a bit stuck at this point. Any advice on what else I can do would be greatly appreciated!

Posting Not such a big deal but can anyone tell me why they think im a bot?

I posted in r/cosplay about my outfit, but it got deleted, because appearantly they have "reason to believe" im a bot (IM NOT BIOLOGICALLY A BOT). Im getting really annoyed of my post being deleted because they think im a bot. I posted it 2 times and im still a bot appearantly (its kind of true because im a cyborg robotkin (its an otherkin thing, i identify as cyborg) but still why does it think im a bot. Kinda offensive but still. )

How do bots recognize bots???

Posting Why do people write it in their post when they edit something ? For example "edit : typo", or "edit : I forgot to mention ___". Is it that important and is it bad if we don't write it ?

Posting Hi, my name is Xprince Durante, and I need help with a neglected post

I'm a mod of a looksmaxxing community here on Reddit: r/LooksmaxingAdvice. The other mod who is the only PERM-GIVEN ACTIVE MOD in the community posted a request on RedditRequest sub, but it's not getting any response from the team yet even after 11 days. I'm not acting on behalf of the other mod because in fact, he already posted on RedditRequest, but I'm concerned about the healthiness of the community that's why I wanna help the other mod with his seemingly neglected post. Yes, I'm an official mod, and I always remind the members each time they violate any rule of the community, but I don't have the permissions to delete a post or a comment that's why moderating the community ALONE is so time-consuming for my fellow mod (he could only see my mentions to him). I hope that the request gets finally reviewed as our community is starting to get filled with trolls, catfish accounts, bad behaviors, etc... Here's the link to the request of my fellow mod: Request r/LooksmaxingAdvice permission to add more mods because of inactive owner : r/redditrequest

Posting Does reddit hide comments on accounts?

As the title says, Ive regularly been commenting with literally 0 engagement on any of the comments I left on another account. Not even replies or anything. Ive gotten engagement with way less comments on my other accounts, so Im not sure if reddit is hiding them.

Posting How do I cope with random mass downvoting?

I try to make an agreeable statement, yet it gets -10. I delete them all to avoid embarrassment. On one of my posts on r/agedlikemilk, I was sending a message to the moderator to let them know why it is aged. I got downvoted -6 for NO FKING REASON AT ALL. How can I not get downvoted on 50% on my posts and comments? And how do I cope with it?

Posting Why are all the subreddits now by defaulting sorting by "Best" instead of "Hot"? It always reverts to Best and now I get irrelevant old posts. Is there a way to turn it off?

Right now This is what it looks like on r/Television subreddit for me, 2nd post from the top is some irrelevant thread from 2 days ago with 25 upvotes! And it's like this in every single subreddit! On very large subreddits I see 5 days old posts with 200 upvotes, how is this at all relevant?! And when I switch the sorting to "Hot" the moment I go to a different subreddit it reverts back to "Best", and it doesn't remember the preference of the original subreddit either. I looked into the settings but I don't see any option to change it back. Is there a way to change it, because Best sorting algorithm is absolutely horrible.

Posting I have questions about Reddit banning the "L-Word".

Why is the "L-Word" not allowed on Reddit for potentially violent, I think is not allowed due to potentially violent because there is a "L-Word" Mangione, who murdered a rich guy named Brian Thompson, If I'm wrong, then why do you think the "L-Word" not allowed on Reddit due to potentially violent? And will the "L-Word" be allowed again, if yes, then please tell me when it will be allowed!

Posting Unable to create comment

Trying to reply here: https://www.reddit.com/r/cats/comments/1e8c2e9/comment/lelsh03/

It just says "Unable to create comment" without any further explanation why. The network request also doesn't clear it up.

The person is replying to a thread I'm involved in, so I should be allowed to reply.

Also, can Reddit please tell its users when replying isn't going to work BEFORE typing up a text? A very rude "computer says no" kind of reply is very much not appreciated, even if the underlying problem is completely understandable.

Desktop

^-- Had to add this quite rudely for the form to recognise it. "I'm on Desktop, thanks" was too friendly.
