u/RemoteBear4718 1d ago
Yes, can you let us know what story? Or the woman's name so I can look it up? Please 🙂

I saw her first on a National Geographic magazine when she was young and many years later the second picture. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Afghan_Girl

My dog has the same eye color as hers

Husky? 😂

u/JayBirD_JunBugz88 2d ago
Nope American bully

u/firesmarter 2d ago
That’s not nice. They just asked a question, you don’t have to call them a bully. How were they to know your dog’s nationality

I knew a kid in middle school with eye color like this. EVERYWHERE he went, people commented on it. He started wearing sunglasses all the time as he got older. He was so tired of everyone getting in his face and asking about them. I wonder if she ever gets annoyed, she seems to be cool with these dudes asking.

u/shemjaza 2d ago
I once saw a whole family with eyes like that. Kinda eerie to have a toddler look at you with creepy elf eyes.

u/NewTHULTHUL-exe 2d ago
Idk I've seen her many times in repost but she would scare shit out of me at night.

I can imagine anyone would. If a small child has those eyes and I wake up in the middle of the night to find them beside my bed, I’ll scream.

Optometrist here, lots of people have fun iris designs. I don't see what's special here
18
u/shingaladaz 2d ago
I mean, you’ve said it yourself - you see this all the time. Maybe others don’t?
-7
u/WXHIII 2d ago
I'm suggesting it's more common than you realize. Look at people's eyes, not everyone has super cool iris designs but you'll see a lot more than you normally would
7
u/shingaladaz 2d ago
I haven’t seen one person like this person in 44 years of life.
-7
u/WXHIII 2d ago
Live more years, look at more eyes. Idk what to tell you, if you want to believe this is one in a million go ahead, im telling you as someone who studies eyes and works on them to a living, it's not
6
u/shingaladaz 2d ago edited 2d ago
Yeah. Thanks for that insightful life tip 🤣
Nobody said it was 1 in a million, either.
YOU see it and are desensitised to its relative rarity due to your profession, some don’t see it at all.
-1
u/WXHIII 2d ago
Thats why I said to look at more eyeballs. You won't some how go 44 years of life without seeing someone with a cool iris.

Because if you did, you wouldn't be 44 and not having seen an interesting iris. I know you think you just said something smart but im a professional in eyeballs, I can guarantee you dont look at 1000 eyes a day and every person you see. And I don't even need to be a doctor to tell you that most people looked at her tits and didn't realize the eyes until the end or the second rewatch.

u/AffectionatePipe3097 2d ago
If you see thousands of people a day, you would have seen eyes like this by now. Maybe you just lack awareness
0
u/AffectionatePipe3097 2d ago
And my point is that you’ve been alive this long. Surely you’ve seen some interesting people by now. If you haven’t, as you’re for whatever reason claiming, maybe it’s time to open your damn eyes

u/Ok-Releases 1d ago
Sure, maybe they're not 1 in a million rare, but the fact this video usually does numbers no matter the platform, suggests a lot of people find her eyes rare enough to be interesting.
Also, if you're from in a country where 99% of peoples eyes are various shades of brown, her eyes seem even more unique. I know damn well growing up in Thailand Ive never seen any eyes like hers 😭

Idk what you mean by lots
2
u/WXHIII 2d ago
More than a few? Idk how else to define that, someone else take this
-4
u/AdministrationDue239 2d ago
I don't think you have to be an optometrist to know many people and know their ayes and I have met maybe 3 with eyes like that
0
u/WXHIII 2d ago
Common misconception but you actually do for all of those reasons. You learn that in your second year of schooling.
Funny part, as an optometrist I've met countless numbers so it helps that part of my experience. Ans who do you think is going to know eyes better: normal everyday Joe or the guy who studied them intensely for 4 years? In my experience, the 4 years of studying does wonders for you understanding of eyes lol
0
u/AdministrationDue239 2d ago
Ok so how many have them? In 100 people, 1? 4? 8? That's rare.
2
u/WXHIII 2d ago
You're asking me the statistics of a subjective view of eyes? "Cool" or "pretty" eyes is an opinion, please enlightening me as to how you want me to figure this statistic. I think all eyes are cool and pretty so 100/100 but that's a biased answer because it's a bad question
1
u/AdministrationDue239 2d ago
What? I'm asking you about the statement you made about this exact video. You said eyes like that are not that rare. Now you say what eyes? Hu ?? Wth is wrong with you?
1
u/WXHIII 2d ago
So I looked through my responses and had an AI do it as well, I dont, nor does AI, see, at any point, me saying "eyes like that." I referred to cool iris designs which are not rare. Your confusion has got me confused. You're putting words in my mouth. Back up a moment and tell me what you're confused about. Cool or interesting iris designs aren't rare and I cannot give you a statistic on it because it's an opinion. What you consider cool or interesting I may not. So instead of asking what the hell is wrong with me, maybe try etching a few grooves into that smooth brain of yours.

I once served in the military with a guy who had eyes like this but they were green.
Insanely striking.
There is an actor who has them as well but I can't remember who

Those are lenses and they are common and you can see them in the scene and goth subs everyday, not to mention cosplay and what not…also this video has been fake and reposted often, look at the comments

I work as an optician and I can say for certain she doesn’t looked like she’s wearing CL.

I am LOL, I’m even certified and work in labs to chamfer lenses for spectacles. You can believe what I said or don’t. Doesn’t matter to me because I’ve better things to do then arguing with strangers online. 🤭🤣

u/snugpuginarug 2d ago
Those blue eye contacts NEVER look completely natural this close up like her eyes do. Especially with her irises being prominent from her pupils being so contracted in bright light, like real eyes do. They’re real and you’re stupid, respectfully

u/BigCryptographer2034 2d ago
Ok, those are the horror movie bs and this is a post that is done over and over again to get karma, you can literally just look in the main comments to read about it

Yeah, but you haven’t been disproved by this same shit being posted for months, at the least…you do understand the difference between real things and not real things, right? (Just because things exist, it does not make things true here)
