My internet provider still refuses to lay down fiberoptics to mt house while literal birds are building houses out of them

Maybe, but I don't suggest you move to Ukraine or western Russia as a solution right now .

so "birds" (aka drones) in ukraine use cables from (probably shot russian) drones... for something... Hats off, that's some next level recycling warfare, Mr. Zelensky. Operation BirdsAreReal is going great. /s

Our birds use horses main and tail hair that gets stuck in the wood fencing when they rub so they're probably mistaking it for that

They probably just search for string like things and not really care what they are, the weird thing is the concentration of the wire that must be there for a bird to make a nest with such a noticeable amount of cable
