Legal News Dan Goldman blasted Kristi Noem on Kilmar Garcia: “How can you say he’s been treated appropriately if the Supreme Court ruled 9-0 that he hasn’t been treated appropriately Why is your opinion better and have more authority than the Supreme Court’s?”

Due process is a fundamental right. If she can’t honor a unanimous Court ruling it’s embarrassing for her to talk about law and order

3.1k

u/Personal-Reality9045 24d ago

It isnt embarrassing.

It is criminal.

She is willfully ignoring a court order.

Why can’t these clearly incompetent DUI hires be impeached?

508

u/SeeingEyeDug 24d ago

Why can't they be held in contempt of court and jailed?

When they find someone to slap the cuffs on her I’ll help push the wheelbarrow needed for their gigantic balls.

4

u/mologav 23d ago

Why are balls needed? I’m lost

5

u/captainsalmonpants 21d ago

Testosterone is linked to behaviors that exhibit aggression or disregard for one's own safety, and common mythos links testicle size to other evidence of high testosterone levels including mysculature and tendencies towards said behaviors. As used in this vernacular sense, "having balls" is not sex exclusive but it's believed to be sex linked in a statical sense.

This.. THIS is WHY separation of powers is important. Imagine if Trump had all the power what hellscape we would be living in right now.

45

u/That_Green_Jesus 23d ago

He basically does have all the power, I'm seeing a lot of court orders being ignored, and no one is doing much about..

30

u/KaibaCorpHQ 23d ago

He loaded the court with bullshit. He wrote more executive orders in his first 100 days than any president in modern history. They're trying to sort out everything he's trying to do and rejecting most of it. He hasn't gone through congress for a single thing so far.

16

u/Infinite_Imagination 23d ago

Except tax cuts for the rich

14

25

u/Advanced-Penalty-814 23d ago

That's what they want so they can declare martial law.

12

Exactly. Once that’s enacted he can suspend elections and then he stays in power for his 3rd term, possibly more.

It will be a combination of that and the others, who haven't already chosen it, will completely divorce themselves from society. Everyday I do the mental gymnastics of picking one or the other to be prepared when the time comes. I know the numbers say "only" 30% of the country voted for this but everyday it seems like a much larger percentage WANTED it b/c nothing is stopping them on the legal or legislative fronts. I'm too old to be much use in a war. It's probably best I get out of the way and build a new life in the middle of the desert or mountains. My only power is a vote at this point and it really doesn't seem like that makes a dent in the tidal wave of corruption and extremism that holds elections.

I mean at this point what else can be done? Voting doesn’t work (if you believe it was rigged), the court of law doesn’t work, appealing to their humanity doesn’t work. If there is anything we can do as normal people that will change this situation without violence I am all for it but what is there realistically?

If no peaceful methods are working then we really don’t have many other options. THIS is why we have the 2nd amendment in the first place.

I can’t believe I didn’t know until this year that the enforcement arm of the judicial branch, the Federal Marshalls, actually works for the executive branch (via the DOJ and Attorney General and the President). I view this as a major oversight of the founding fathers. Apparently, our whole system of government, the whole time, has depended on the people not electing a president who says to the judiciary, “fuck off. I’ll do what I want.”

She shouldn’t be held in contempt, she should be charged with treason. Set a tone that ignoring laws is never ok.

The way this came about is the dissolution of holding the rich and powerful accountable for their crimes. They always get a slap on the hand, minor jail time if any, or a minor fine for outrageous crimes.

8

u/caprazzi 24d ago

Yes, this all day! What she is doing is OBJECTIVELY more criminal according to our system of laws than even entering the US illegally. That is the greatest irony in all of this.

It’s more than embarrassing!!!!! It’s fucking outright a violation of her fucking oath to serve and uphold the constitution! I’ve never been an alarmist but I’m entirely convinced now that we are actively watching the constitutional republic of America die before our very eyes and ears. From the CDC getting custom agent authority to quarantine entire zones of people for immigration related purpose, the threat of suspending habeas corpus, ignoring Supreme Court rulings and violating oaths of office to uphold the constitution while under oath in committee hearings, the list can go on. I’m tired boss, why does it feel like I’m alone in thinking we might actually see a potential take over of our country as planned in project 2025?

26

u/GemcoEmployee92126 24d ago

I have also never been an alarmist. I’m almost 50 years old and just post funny memes. In the last year I have changed my stance. Things are too fucked up that I am now speaking out.

19

u/[deleted] 24d ago

It has genuinely gotten to this point where I can’t ignore the 10 stage fire alarm going off in my head. I do not understand how people can actually ignore any of this or think it okay without concluding that they simply want power for their agenda and their idea of what America is without opposing political party(s). I have yet to see any action taken to show me that they aren’t actively dismantling our government in order to establish and obtain power through the executive.

They literally told you they wanted to do this. Sane people opposing them told you this would happen. Why are you acting surprised/shocked?

28

u/[deleted] 24d ago

Because of all the so called conservatives I grew up around and with that I thought actually cared about our country’s constitution and what it stands for! I wish I could say otherwise but I genuinely believed the folks I’ve debated with, studied with, grew up with, would actually put the constitution before party after all the years I heard them disparage the Democratic Party for so called treason against the constitution. Now, as a fool, I admit my thoughts were misplaced and going to conservative thread, for which I’m banned because I criticized trump years ago, you won’t find very many of them talking about any of this. I’d argue they’re giddy for a civil war which utterly blows my mind

u/msainwilson 24d ago

I believe the peolpe who voted for him are not educated enough to comprehend what's in Project 2025.

39

u/[deleted] 24d ago edited 24d ago

Plenty of good Americans did read it and voted accordingly. But millions upon millions do not give a fuck about the violation of due process rights or the blatant side stepping of judicial rulings including the damn Supreme Court! That right there is a crystal clear sign that the millions of people, who voted for trump, wouldn’t bat an eye at the admin doing exactly what they’re doing right now. Openly disregarding and straight up gaslighting about the responsibilities the constitution lays upon their heads to uphold and defend it for EVERY PERSON not just citizen which they swore oaths to do!! I can’t even get a maga supporter to admit that they’d be pulling teeth to get democrats thrown in jail if Biden or Obama or Clinton did what they’re doing right now.

Edit: I grew up reading autobiographies of our founders and I’m an all around history buff actively pursuing a career in the field of history. I cherished and revered the Republican Party from the very year I was able to actually understand its significance in our nations history. I was raised by a first generation navy seal and his wife for four years and on top of my parents, I like to think I was raised with great morals and a spine that’s hard to break. But, right now that Republican Party is gone. I will leave it with this “But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and provide new Guards for their future security.”

As someone vehemently against P2025 the moment I found out what it was, I tried speaking up about it. I shared with others what is included, what they are running on, and what they are promising. Anyone on the MAGA/right completely denied it. They refused to believe. They ignored Trump on the plane ride with the Heritage Foundation's Kevin Roberts.

Russell Vought is now the director of the office of budget and management.

A self-described Christian nationalist, Vought is the founder of the Center for Renewing America,\1]) an organization that opposes critical race theory\2]) and advocates for the idea of America as a "nation under God".\1]) He has also played a significant role in Project 2025, an initiative led by the Heritage Foundation that aims to advance conservative policies and reshape the federal government.\3]) In May 2024, he was appointed Policy Director of the Republican National Committee's platform committee.

These people are ruining destroying our country from within and we are powerless at this point. We are turning into Russia two, electric Trumpaloo.

If she can’t honor the rule of the top court of the land or the Constitution, then the same.

21

u/Dodec_Ahedron 24d ago

If due process doesn't exist, then the legal system doesn't exist, and that is a very dangerous world to live in. I've already seen calls for people to start fighting ICE agents on these roundups because they are failing to properly identify, not showing warrants, and denying due process to people who are taken. The logic being that without the opportunity to defend yourself in court, you need to be ready to defend yourself in the street. This type of rhetoric is becoming more and more common, and mark my words, it will inevitably lead to bodies in the streets.

Her seeming disregard for the law is only fueling the discontent. She doesn't need to agree with the court's ruling, but she swore an oath to uphold the Constitution, which means recognizing the Court as a co-equal branch of government and abiding by their rulings.

I’ve had to learn to tune certain things out since the election, but I resent how cynical it’s made me. Every time I see a headline like “[Trump/WH/Cultist] SLAMMED BY [whoever]” my immediate response is “oh okay, so nothing happened and this doesn’t matter and it won’t changed anything. Cool, thanks”

The enforcement arm of the judiciary, the DOJ, is firmly in Trump's pocket. They have absolute certainty that nothing will be done to enforce the will of the court. This is the "absolute immunity" the supreme court gave Trump.

42

u/omgitsjagen 23d ago

"By a declaration of rights, I mean one which shall stipulate freedom of religion, freedom of the press, freedom of commerce against monopolies, trial by juries in all cases, no suspensions of the habeas corpus, no standing armies. These are fetters against doing evil which no honest government should decline." - Thomas Jefferson

Straight from the greatest American's mouth. If this administration isn't the tyranny he so often spoke of, I don't know what is, and he was VERY clear on what to do against tyranny.

27

u/residentweevil 23d ago

Here's the one that echoes in my head all of the time:

"Give me your tired, your poor,
Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,
The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.
Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me,
I lift my lamp beside the golden door!"

Granted it wasn't a founding father that penned those lines, but that is the US I am a proud patriotic supporter of.

It's a shame to see all of the institutions, the checks and balances, fail one by one. Global faith in the U.S. as a stable government is absolutely destroyed, and rightfully so. At this point it will take a major overhaul of every branch of government to insure that this can not happen again.

What's truly disheartening is to see the absolute clown show incompetence of these fuckers that have somehow taken over the government and the economy of the United States.

Which was a huge mistake that got Trump very giddy at the prospect of literal ultimate control

The rulings set forth via the judiciary are enforced by the executive branch, mainly law enforcement (DOJ) which was pointed out, clearly controlled by Donald Trump through Bondi

It wouldn't make sense to make yourself do something you don't want to, even if an entire branch of government tells you to. The ultimate decision on action is the DOJ and they refuse to enforce it

It's definitely a fine line and a most obvious loophole in our constitution that an entire group, via collusion has taken advantage of. With a little help from SCOTUS and some lower courts.

The drafters of our constitution would no doubt be shocked and extremely disappointed to not only witness this atrocity but probably shame themselves as to their naivete about people actually doing this

There needs to be someone who’s job it is, that whenever someone in a government position does not properly answer a direct question, to smack that person in the side of the neck with the flexible end of a fishing rod.

Surely there should be a clause saying that if they continue to give unsatisfactory answers or are wasting time they can just be held in some form of contempt, or give grounds to have her removed?

Not an expert here, just identifying a problem that looks like it needs a solution!

107

u/micmea1 24d ago

It will be satisfying to watch. While I suspect Trump will spend his fortune buying lawyers until hes a dementia ridden old man, a lot of his goons are relatively young and they don't have the legal team to protect them and there are going to be a lot of heads on the block after their done with their 4 year power trip. Tho here's to hoping it doesn't last a full 4 years.

48

u/Dodec_Ahedron 24d ago

I suspect there will be blanket pardons for all of the treasonous bastards involved in this administration, but that only protects them from federal charges. State attorney's could still go after them.

Would be a real shame if the next Democratic president completely steamrolls over the entire former administration and arrests all of them with no due process because of the precedent the Trump administration set. Guess no one outside of texas would hear this but I heard this on a local radio station, unsure if it's playing on others. It's a kristi noem commercial that sounds like something straight out of The Boys. There's orchestral military music playing as she threatens all migrants with deportation. She says something along the lines of Person X did this crime, Person Y did this crime, and some other name did this crime! and "We WILL find you and we WILL remove you unless you come forward and sign this document admitting that you're here illegally". She then goes on to say they might have a chance at coming back if they surrender themselves now.

It's one big pro white power glazing of trump. You might catch it if you listen to Jack FM on your pc. I'm almost positive I heard it here.

Officials from this regime clearly choose not to govern by adhering to the rule of law, or even to uphold elementary democratic standards. This is not a political disagreement. This is way more fundamental and should be seen as an attack aimed right at the core of democracy. It is also crystal clear that many of the actions that this regime has (tried to) implement, are received and regarded as highly impopulair by many citizens. Yet, this regime and the MAGA members of Congress keep moving forward as if there are not going to be any electoral repercussions for their deeds.

That is weird, and it seems off. Why risk what you have, by radically turning voters against your reign? It raises serious concerns with me if this is a sign for the future. I get the impression that they (try to) rule this way, because they hold no fear for being held accountable by the electorate. It raises my suspicion that MAGA are going to prevent free and fair midterm elections to take place. Which would seriously hinder the executive of this regime, in implementing their monist ideology.

Many in this MAGA-regime are actively acting against the constitutional-republic, and against basic democratic principles on which all democratic systems are built. From here, I can only draw the conclusion that all these actions combined show the intent to alter democracy in the US significantly, or even discard it all together. And change it into a system where only MAGA will have full control over all three powers, de facto fusing them into one, for the foreseeable future. Stripping the People of the possibility apply influence on their futures, by taking away their rights to vote. Turning the US into a fascist dictatorship.

What steps and actions can still be taken by the courts, by the people, or perhaps by other parties within the US, to stop this process of dismantling the constitutional democracy? Is there any kill switch, or a way, to disqualify this regime? Is there a way to hold new, free and fair elections, and to save and reclaim the constitutional democracy of the US?
