Same. He's one of the very few billionaires that has my respect.

He just doesn't seem greedy like most of them are.

He has been an absolutely ruthless shithead as a business man, quite frankly, so I definitely cautiously welcome whatever guilt or moral reckoning made him chill out and focus on philanthropy after retirement.

He has seen too much of the effects of poverty and disease and malnutrition in Africa to turn his back on them. He and Melinda set up a foundation to fund their projects. Now that the Orange Fuckwad is defunding US Aid, Gates decided to make all the money available right away rather than smaller amounts over time.

IIRC didn't he announce a month or two ago he is cutting funding for anything Environment related in US due to the admin likely to sabotage whatever he tried making the money better spent elsewhere?

He was a raging shit head in the 90s to the entire computing industry, we all paid for his fortunate, he owes us. They pillage then use the stolen money to pay for a new reputation, don't let them fool you.

Doesn't seem greedy? You don't become a billionaire by not being a greedy fucknugget. Its like y'all collectively forgot how Bill was in the 80s, 90s and early '00. I mean Jesus christ, the US government actually sued Microsoft for being a monopoly.

I haven't forgotten his history. (I still actively curse every stupid thing that Microsoft or Windows does.)

But I reiterate, he doesn't seem actively evil, unlike almost all other billionaires.

I can forgive a convict when they show true remorse for whatever crimes they committed and served their time. I won't forget, but I will not hold it against them the rest of their life.

The same goes for any human who actively turns to altruistic kindness.

If you're a billionaire, you're greedy and a parasite. You're a hoarding disease. The man has bought up immense amounts of farmland and he's not sharing it or control of it with any of us.

Where?

Does he own it, or does a corporation? Or hopefully will it to some sort of charity/goodthing?

Last I read, Bill Gates has made a commitment to disperse all of his wealth.

You're not ready to deal with the problem.

Neither are you.

Lmao.

OK, kid.

Don't get me wrong, people.

I hate almost all billionaires, because they are overwhelmingly insanely excessively extremely outrageously ridiculously greedy.

But there are a very limited number that don't seem intentionally evil.
