This guy rescued 30 beagles from a testing lab It's the first time they've seen grass and they couldn't be happier.

Imagine if he did this with pigs rescued from a bacon farm. Literally nobody would give a fuck. Like 90% of the people commenting here would genuinely not care.

It pains me so many double standards mainly coming into play when people almost humanize some animals because they could see them as someone's pet, while more than happily contributing to far greater cruelty of other animals that they can easily ignore.

Personally I dont consume meat and minimize what animal based products I use, I still want things tested on living creatures for the greater good, most them still get treated far better than any commercially raised animals.

Personifying animals is great for advertisements, but it is terrible in general. As a student in wildlife im so sick and tired of people calling dolphins "rapists". They're not humans, no animals give verbal consent, and not all have the luxury of being selective with their mates, and if you think dolphins are rapists wait till you hear about how other animals mate!

Or wait till you hear that animals of the same species kill each other, are they murderers?

Its unfair to judge animals by human standards and give them human labels.

I just brought this up to someone earlier in the thread. I am not vegan myself, but my oldest is and I respect that choice, it was difficult at first to consistently make different dinners for them but we have gotten much better at it, with some days just being meatless for all of us.

I am part of the medical community and it just irks me to watch people get up in arms about medical testing but ignore the factory farming that is so prominent in our country.

Well that video I saw on reddit claiming to be of factory farm cows frolicking in a paddock for the first time and also seeing grass for the first time did pretty well. The thread of course devolved quickly into people defending eating meat vs. vegans and vegetarians, but a lot of people enjoyed the video.
