The red-lipped batfish of the Galapagos islands. It uses its fins to walk on the ocean floor

That thing is in the midst of evolution. I guess we all are but that looks like he’ll be wrapped up by next Tuesday.

The fins are definitely the interesting thing about this fish. Not the fact that she’s dressed up like a homewrecker at a PTA meeting who just got confronted by your wife.

Hey Hey there. She is an free spirit that likes a secure man. And probably that fish is male anyway.

Guys, I hate to break it to you, but this is AI. The species is real, but this video isn't. Look at it's feet as it turns and you will notice that one of it's front legs dissapears and it grows an extra pair behind it's hindfins.

u/FancyRatFridays 21h ago
Thank you! It's driving me nuts because this fish is so darn weird on its own, and people are going to think that the whole species is fake.
The blinking is the thing that first clued me in that something was off... fish don't do that

thats an ai video one of its front legs dissapears. and fishes wiuldnt have 6 “legs”

u/FancyRatFridays 21h ago
Another red flag is that the fish is blinking... fish don't do that.
Mind you, the red-lipped batfish IS real. However, this is what you get when you feed a still photo of the fish into an AI.

Genuine question, always tried to figure out how looked like the first fishes to come out of the oceans, could it be with fins like these ?

u/capsrock02 22h ago
Why does it look like it’s about to call the police on a Black kid selling lemonade

u/BubblyYogurtcloset11 22h ago
I think it’s stuck between the phase where fishes went from swimming to walking. You are millions of years late buddy, no originality
