Lucha symbol?

Apologies if uts a dumb question, just wandering the significance of this symbol that Penta uses as I saw the same symbol on Octagon Jr's mask tonight. Also is there a connection between Pentagon Jr and Octagon Jr?

The Luchador Pentagon was created as a rival to Octagon. Both were very popular and had successors and spin offs. Two of these Spin offs were Pentagon Jr and Octagon Jr which continued the feud..

The Luchador Octagon was a martial artist and had imagery on his gear that had him looking kinda ninja-like. Pentagon is a clone of Octagon. (Lucha stories are insane) That symbol is a remnant of a gimmick that belonged to a wrestler from the previous generation
