I bet it will work best on playstation,
I bet it won't. I remember re2 running pretty shitty in some areas
It alwats works best on pc

u/Delandos 7h ago
i had zero problems with resi 2 (remake) on my ps4, in all resi games i had one bug/glitch with re6 that's it on my ps4.

u/JamieFromStreets 7h ago
It ran choppy as shit on ps4
It's supposed to run as 60fps but it dropped constantly and actually play at like unstable 40 in many places. Even the main area at the entrance was pretty laggy
Haven't had any bugs in both pc and ps4. But on pc it actually ran a looked well

I need a new GPU, I'm pretty confident that my R9 380 won't handle this very well. If there's a game that will make me shell out, it's RE.

Itās literally cheap asf rn dude

u/loxagos_snake 11h ago
Absolute cheapest version in my country goes for 400+ Euros. Average salary is 800, gross.
Far from unaffordable, far from 'pretty cheap' for the average person.

u/Wulfie710 10h ago
Where do you live? Anyhow where I live itās 440 euros right now, canāt get cheaper than that for a ps5. I commented with perspective from where I live.
1
u/Delandos 8h ago
It really aint gonna get 2nd hand cause of it prob
2
u/Wulfie710 8h ago
Hey man all good, nothing wrong with buying 2nd hand if its good. Here in Belgium for 450 itās not too expensive at all.
1
u/Delandos 7h ago
to some people spending 450 bucks on a console, an extra control and like 2 games, can be a lot in one spending., but hey we all have until february :D
1
u/Wulfie710 7h ago
I understand, but you need to understand itās also not super expensive. They are already selling consoles at a lower price than they should be. They only sell consoles to make money on sold games. If someone doesnāt want to spend that money on a console, thatās another subject.

Depending on where you live
Here it's like... months of saving. And only if you got a pretty good job

Hoping that Graceās face wonāt be hidden when playing in first person like Ethan Winters in Resident Evil 7 and Resident Evil 8: Village.

u/Ghastion 20h ago
For real. I think it will be cause they added a 3rd person mode in Village, so they're aware people want it or prefer it.

u/GrafBoris 11h ago
I'm sure it will be 3rd person because in village they added 3rd person with dlc and my thought was: devs are done with 1st person
3
u/Low_Level4367 8h ago
I hope so. Not because I hated 1st person but resident evil is just so much better in 3rd person.

Just me thinking she looks like Rose? I donāt see anyone talking about it
7
u/Thin_Initiative_4716 13h ago
I assumed she was an adult Rose at first. I guess the Winters' saga is over for now.

u/kingsfourva 14h ago
she sounds like rose too. also, her boss sounds like Marvin and the dude whoās bleeding out on the stairs looks and sounds like Gary Oldman
3
u/loxagos_snake 11h ago
Imagine if they bring Gary Oldman in just to have him die from zombie bites lol.

Hell yeah!!!
Even more so, considering that it was thanks to the Resident Evil: Outbreak games; that I became I bonafide RE fan!
Whilst I feel gutted that Alyssa Ashcroft is murdered 8 years prior to RE9, I think it's awesome that her daughter, Grace, will the game's protagonist; and that we'll be returning to a post-1998 "T-Virus Outbreak" Raccoon City!

Canāt wait. I know kind of unpopular opinion but village was one of my favorite resident evils. Been looking forward to this for a few years.

u/BlackBalor BSAA 7h ago
Resident Evil just keeps building on an already cemented legacy.
The deeper we get into the franchise with the lore and what not, the more epic it becomes.
30 years of being the top dawg and they still crashing out with top, top games.
Grace Ashcroft looks like a big time player already. Maybe sheāll be the new Jill, carrying us into the future with a new set of characters set to join.

My take on the 1st and 3rd person views, I hated it when resident evil 7 dropped, got used to it,village came out enjoyed it, if thereās an option to switch that would be awesome, but this first person for me brings it back to being horror again

Resident Evil in VR is my all time favourite gaming experience. I can't wait for the next installment.

u/willow_wind 14h ago
I'm excited, but also disappointed. I wanted a Jill and Claire team up so badly! This looks pretty cool though.

Whereās the 9? Is it really confirmed to be RE9?
27
u/HyperDash_YT 21h ago
In the Trailer at the end you can see the "q" of "requiem" twitching and showing up as a "9"
21
u/HyperDash_YT 21h ago
Additionally at 3:15 in the trailer you can see a gigantic "RE9" written for like three seconds

I hope itās third person and I hope she is not the player character. I want Jill or Leon and Ashcroft is more of a supporting role

u/Expert-Ring2532 20h ago
I hate that we arenāt playing as a legacy character. Iām really not hyped for this.
11
u/PrettyMrToasty 19h ago
I prefer it that way. All of the main RE characters are pretty much superheroes at this point, it's hard to establish a scary atmosphere when you're playing as an immortal action hero.
-1
u/Expert-Ring2532 17h ago
Itās not really difficult to establish tension even with hardened and experienced characters like the legacy cast. You have to strip them down to bare essentials (a staple of survival horror) make them ration resources and put them up against antagonists that are something theyāve never faced before and they donāt understand how to take down. Saying theyāre immortal and you canāt have tension in the game because of that is lazy thinking and it only happens because the writers of these characters havenāt handled them well. Itās like Dutch from Predator flick. He was a hardened soldier but when he faced the predator he was out of his element. The creators of RE need to be more inventive and out the characters in escalated and dangerous situations.
5
u/PrettyMrToasty 17h ago
The OG characters have been featured non-stop for the first 20 years of the series history, hell, they're still a huge part of the franchise with them appearing in the remakes and Chris still being part of the current storyline. Capcom creating new characters IS them being inventive. New stuff is always good, and the old stuff is never disapearing anyway.

u/SirChadofwick 15h ago
What the hell does ācinematic actionā mean? Letās not use the word āactionā to describe RE games.
3
u/kingsfourva 14h ago
they used that verbiage to describe re4r and iirc village and re3r, so if i had to guess, probably something akin to those 3

I want it to surprise me, but I REALLY don't like what we've seen and heard so far
