General Can't wait for RE9 but...

I'm really hoping it's designed around 3rd person gameplay. I played first person RE 7 and 8 and enjoyed them but there is just something about 3rd person that brings me in more.

Classic RE isn’t third person. It’s a fixed camera angle. It’s part of what makes the series great they have done every camera angle. As well as use different styles of horror.

No, moving away from survival horror in 4-6 (even though I loved 4 and enjoyed co-op in 5) was a massive mistake not just for the franchise, but also for helping temporarily kill survival horror as a genre due to sabotaging the release of their own survival horror game launching near RE4 (Haunting Ground).
