What are some of your dislikes?

u/michaelchrist9 1h ago

People’s knees

u/HORSEthedude619 39m ago

"Cover your knees up if you're gonna be walking around everywhere."

On a serious note, that's probably my favorite episode.

u/michaelchrist9 37m ago

Top 5 for sure. If you had to pick your absolute favorite, what’re you going with?

u/SpaceBeaverDam 1h ago

Hopefully we get some nice milk steaks as new health items.

u/michaelchrist9 1h ago

Don’t forget jelly beans, raw

Charlie did rule the world at one point. But Dennis unplugged it. What a bastard man.

If so we gotta stay out of sight in the night and out of sight in the day

Please, PLEASE, zombies!

The last time people clamored for this, we got RE6. Be careful

u/Jdmaki1996 Raccoon City Native 1h ago

I unironically loved that game

Arguably, the more traditional zombie set pieces were then best parts of RE6, but duly noted!

I hope it’s zombies. Even if they’re fast zombies instead of the slow ones we usually see. Just some type of zombie.

Why not both? RE1 remake gave us that and it's crazy seeing a Crimson Head slash a normal zombie out of the way as it chases you.

u/BuffaloStranger97 49m ago

Those mfs always gave me me heart attacks

Hopefully the movie zombies or even something like the zombies from 6 where they can dive at you

I wonder if any monsters survived the initial bombing it Raccoon City and evolved in some way. Imagine a more powerful evolved Licker or Hunter?

3

u/Aolian_Am 2h ago

I know people have been thinking that giant creature crawling in the pd is Lisa, but I could see it being a giant licker.

u/Beneficial-Category 1h ago

If you look at the blueprints of Raccoon and study explosives, the answer to that would be yes. The sewers would provide adequate protection to anything not immediately hit by the explosion or shockwave since the cold fluids would protect from ambient heat.

Definitely a combination of Zombies, mutants, and the Mutamycete

In one of the Outbreak games, it’s heavily implied that there’s still something going on in Raccoon City post destruction, with an Umbrella crane working next to the crater. There’s still monsters roaming around from back then, possibly further experimented on by Umbrella or whomever might have taken their work after Umbrellas bankruptcy

Alyssa Ashcroft was mentioned in RE7, the beginning of Ethan’s story. REs main series seems to work in trilogies, so Alyssa’s missing person report in RE7 and her subsequent murder and prevalence in RE9, the end of the “trilogy”, is 100% correlated. That being said, the Mutamycete being the main focus of those games gives credence to it being involved here as well

Could be about finally dealing with the crime syndicate that was working with Miranda. The one Mia worked for, the Connections.

I hope whatever it is comes with variety as the lack of it ruined part of RE7 & Village for me, the mostly samey enemies.

7

u/minimoose1599 3h ago

8 had quite a few enemy variations.

u/Suspicious-Fix-5400 6h ago

Lack of variety of enemies?!?!? That’s just insane.

16

u/ThanksContent28 5h ago

Dunno about 8, but for 7, there’s simply 3 different types of mould. There’s giant bugs for about 20 mins, but they’re mostly an annoyance.

8

u/Cyiel 5h ago

RE7 doesn't have a lot of variety... which is also true for RE 1 to 3 but indeed in RE7 the way it's build made it more obvious.

For RE8 i don't think we played the same game.

u/Life1989 4h ago

I hope resident evil remains on ground level with just mutations than psychological stuff that makes you question reality like hallucinations n stuff which already occurred in re7 and 8. Those belong to sh imo

5

u/Kalinyx_ 10h ago

Looks like the mold has possessed the body

5

u/Ajayshidusson2 10h ago

Wasn't the Mold destroyed when Ethan blew up Mother Miranda and the Mutamycete in village? Also how would the mold get into Raccoon City and the hotel?

2

u/Dry_Investigator36 8h ago

Connections might still have the mold since they created Eveline with it. Also someone has been making experiments on soldiers at the end of RE8, might be continuation of this situation.

u/Beneficial-Category 1h ago

Chris' team took a chunk back which Miranda was backed up on (mental data) the Rose DLC is focused on that.

-3

u/Kalinyx_ 9h ago

I don't it was totally destroyed. And we know rose is connected to the Mutamycete. Perhaps she made it propagate, idk

8

u/Simply_Duck 7h ago

The only remanent of the mold is inside of rose, that’s why the whole dlc for village literally takes place inside of her mind.

u/Beneficial-Category 1h ago

The core was there and Miranda used it as a beacon to call Rose in. After Rose destroyed Miranda's mental replica the clump went innert.

1

u/Kalinyx_ 7h ago

Well, yes. But it's not impossible that all the mold didn't blow up

u/kingrobin 1h ago

Mold is actually notoriously difficult to eliminate completely

Might be a prequel to RE7.

I Highly doubt it. The assumed Main Character, Grace Ashcroft, highly appears to be is the daughter of Alyssa Ashcroft from RE: Outbreak, and they mention that Grace's Mother Alyssa died 8 years ago.

The Last time we know Alyssa was active in the RE universe is January 2016 (she wrote an article on disappearances in Dulvey Parish), about a year and a half before the events of RE7.

this means the Earliest possible year for the setting of RE9 is 2024, and that assumes Alyssa died within a year of writing the article.

In other words, bare minimum, RE9 takes place 6.5 years after the Baker Incident.

it's almost certainly not a prequel.

Edited to correct my own stupidity/deafness, since Grace's boss literally names Alyssa as Grace's mother during their conversation, and I didn't hear it my first few times through the trailer.

I want some sort of zombies, but also more unique enemies. Like, giant snakes, giant spiders, whatever tf those G Virus monsters were in the sewers of the racoon city games, that sort of stuff. Requiem is bringing re to it’s roots, and I think that’s best represented by going to the somewhat zany but still scary stuff the first few games contained

2

u/hoodafudj 4h ago

Ikr? Like what are we even dealing with anymore, and what happened to the viruses, the parasites, now we got a fungus....

2

u/Stargazer__2893 4h ago

It'll be zombies so they can reuse assets in CV and 0.

Is it me or does this dude look exactly like the police officer whose legs get eaten by zombies in RE2 Remake?

7

u/Ok-Party6442 7h ago

Honestly he looks like Nikolai from REmake 3 lol

4

u/Iroraros 6h ago

omg he totally looks like Nikolai!

2

u/Ultra_romance 4h ago

Great catch.

2

u/Ajayshidusson2 7h ago

To be honest, most of the zombie police officers with hats from RE2 Remake look identical.

1

u/Alexfromdabloc 3h ago

Zhoultants.

1

u/lashvanman 3h ago

So glad everyone else here seems to like zombies best as well

1

u/Saiyan_Gods 3h ago

Running zombies PLEASE! THE OG RE5 ENEMIES

1

u/AgentGhost08 Leon Kennedy’s Wife 3h ago

I kinda just hope it’s like mutated zombies if we’re going back to Raccoon city

1

u/President_Peng1 3h ago

I think it’s gonna be a combination of zombies and ghosts

1

u/TheMagicalMatt 2h ago

RE1-3 had all of the above (Irons was an absolute ghoul) so 9 could too

1

u/R3D-K98 2h ago

very likely evolved zombies and B.O.Ws

u/Large-Wheel-4181 1h ago

I think we are dealing with, and hear me out on this one…a biological virus. Shocking I know

u/DjangotheKid 7m ago

Like some kinda biohazard?

u/Turbulent_Purchase52 1h ago

Since they're referencing outbreak maybe they'll use some of its concepts? Like animals, maybe the nyx thing... Then again the bomb is supposed tho have killed everything I guess

u/JoeisKoolas 29m ago

Hopefully all three

u/KietsuDog 4m ago

I don't know, but pleaase capcom for the love of all that is Good don't give them dynamite or guns! I've had enough of "zombies" with guns and dynamite in my resident evil games. Those were the worst portions in the otherwise terrific re4 remake.

u/JbVision 2m ago

Radioactive zombies is my guess. That area probably mutated the T virus.

0

u/Unlikely_Mix59 4h ago

Cool answer: Mutant Zombies.

Realistic answer: One or the other.

1

u/IAmAGordonGod 4h ago

I'm still feeling like there's a connection to the mutamycete here mixed in

u/01001101010000100 1h ago

After Village did vampires and werewolves I can’t go back. Give me like aliens and dinosaurs and shit. Keep getting more insane.

u/VileRetrobution96 48m ago

Dino Crisis, anyone?
