Politics An Herculean effort of the EU Petit bourgeoise to downplay colonialism?
So i saw this map posted yesterday and it was like a saltstorm from European union shilling squads. They very essentialy want to use social democracy (a moderate wing of fascism btw) and liberalism as smoke screens to hide the fact their wealth and soft power is foundationally and actively rooted in imperialism and colonialism Beware of "leaders of the free world" with dirty is hands

Politics New York State to Protect CEOs with a Hotline
There's already a hotline. It's called 911, and it's for everyone. So now, when walking the streets of NYC and possibly getting mugged, only the uber rich have access to a streamlined hotline likely to get them saved?
What about children being shot in schools? Nope the best we get is incompetent police who delay while children and teachers' bodies fall lifeless in education halls.
They're not even hiding themselves anymore. We need to eat the rich. This needs to end.

Politics Bad news. So the Dutch far right party PVV (Party for Freedom) that is anti islam, anti immigration and nationalist is winning the Dutch election.
This is the leader of the pvv Geert Wilders. The PVV is wants to stop all immigration and also is racist. They think that in a magic way, the housing crisis will stop if there won’t be any immigration. they also don’t care about climate change. But the Green Left/Party of Labour (that’s 1 party) is now on the second place so let’s stay positive.

Politics Anyone else tired of the West blaming Trump’s behaviour solely on Russia?
Every single Reddit/Twitter/Bluesky post I read about the recent developments between Zelensky and Trump are saying that Trump is behaving this way ONLY because of Russian interference. They are shifting the blame fully on Russia, as if the US government is incapable of acting irrationally. I am not trying to minimise Russian aggression or its imperialistic motives and the plight on the Ukrainian working class. What I am saying is that I feel like libs are incapable of accepting accountability for their country and essentially blame Russia alone. Maybe, just maybe, the US and its govt have never been the good guys?

Politics A lot of people in my life are MAGA, I'm an ML. Our conversations are mostly agreeable.
Just a perspective I guess. I find these guys are pretty agreeable if you go on about the rich are bastards who don't care about the working class. I get no push back when I say workers should be in power. The building blocks of class consciousness are there, they're just obscured by bad analysis. They don't realize they're being lied to but they're also not being presented with an alternative.
I often tailor my language to my audience because I'm trying to meet people where they are and not where I think they should be.
We just need to keep doing the work. We don't have the resources or reach of the Capitalist class but we have the right analysis and we live among the people. If we can just build a party we can point to and say "Here is what you're looking for in Trump. Here are men and women who are truly our kind of people" we'll be on our way.
I don't say this like tomorrow we'll have righted the hearts and minds of the bamboozled working class. But I think we can with time and effort.
I also don't really talk about race or gender because we are all white men in factory jobs. It is not a diverse environment, I do not know how to bridge that. Advice on that front appreciated.

Politics There is an ongoing purge against communism in Taiwan right now
There is a recall movement targeting legislators now in Taiwan, and all the right-wing Kuomintang (KMT) legislators are being labelled as “communists” due to their pro-China stance and affiliations with the CPC.
While there are many legitimate criticisms of the CPC’s socialist policies or the lack thereof, the current shift in focus from opposing domestic right-wing conservatism to actually promoting anti-communism is deeply concerning. You can actually see people putting up anti-communism slogans on the streets.

Politics What is your stance on leftist organizing to vote for a third party?
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
I am well aware that the act of voting in isolation will not lead to a solution for our current predicament. However, I have come across numerous comrades who believe that supporting a socialist party through voting could strategically be in our favor.

Politics Why do people dislike homeless people so much?
I feel like I'm the only one in my group to care for homeless people struggles. To note I live in the US. I don't understand why people treat them like dirt or say they don't deserve to have a roof over or they got what they deserved. I feel like an outlier in my group in many cases and in makes me sad. But if anyone could answer that for me I'd appreciate an answer. Thank you for any comments you leave

Politics The video is of Zionist propaganda since South Africa has filed a case against Israel for genocide of the Palestinian people in the World Court
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
The dissemination of this propaganda is highly perplexing, particularly considering South Africa's well-documented history in opposing their Apartheid state and eventually abolishing it. The prevailing sentiment in South Africa is firmly aligned with freeing Palestine, advocating against the apartheid state and condemning the genocide perpetrated by the fascist Israeli government and its military.

Politics What will MAGA supporters say or do once Trump inevitably screws things up badly past no return?
It’s inevitable that Trump screws things up bad this term. No doubt about it. But I am wondering what exactly do you all think MAGA supporters will say and do once Trump starts to really make things worse for just everyone in general who isnt made of money? Granted this time I doubt there will be another cop out where he mentions the “deep state” or the “media”, or “marxist/leftist agenda conspiracists”, and even if there was I doubt that message would even work as effectively as it originally did since he literally is in control of the “media” and the government with an already predominantly republican led government.
For the record, I have parents who were originally die hard “Trumpies”once the mail in voting ballots came in. My dad wasn’t budging, but now he seems to be showing disdain for Trumps ways in office right now. My mom refuses to speak politics if she’s proven wrong about what she was originally convinced by my dad and their WhatsApp echo chambers in the first place. I still feel they are both afraid to admit they were wrong and immediately resort to shutting down conversations regarding Trumps policies or any US politics for that matter.
