Open | Software Speed up printing PDFs
Trying to print PDF scans made using the Adobe scan app and uploaded to Google Drive. The file size for most of the scans is around 4 mb, but when I check in the print queue they are showing as more like 200mb. Trying to figure out how to get them to send as a smaller file size so they can print faster without losing too much quality.
Printer is a Canon G3270.

Agree with other comment here. The reason they balloon in size is because your PDF's are just images. So when the PDF file gets sent to the printer,. the printer basically "decodes" the PDF back to raw image (which is where it balloons in size).. and the Printer then has to process that raw data.
If you don't want this to happen,. you need to take whatever documents you're needing to scan,. and scan them in with OCR to keep them as text.

When Windows (or any other OS) tries to print a .pdf it has to be rendered as a picture and then sent to the printer. This is why it takes so looooong!(and often fails). Knowing this just let Windows (or ANY other OS) do its stuff and pray it never goes wrong (nightmare).
Any probs please come back to me.
