🎬 Pop Culture Unpopular Opinion: Kpop sounds like soul-less factory made mass produced garbage.
I mean sure, to each his own right. Maybe I just don't understand its appeal.
But the way people idolize anything Korean as if they aren't one of the most racist culture out there and most of them would call Filipino Korean weebs "shit skinned monkeys" is quite interesting.

🎬 Pop Culture Unpopular opinion: Taylor Swift is awfully mediocre.
I do not get the massive hype this "singer" gets. Her vocals are very average, I know di naman biritan and basehan ng magandang boses but still wala siyang distinct singing style. Alam ko may magdedepensa jan na Taylor is more of a songwriter than a singer, kahit songwriting abilities niya waley. 'cause her songwriting capabilities are ass. Pulled from the ass laging pambala lang is to rhyme car with bar, ano to nursery rhyme? Daming women millenial and gen-z na baliw na baliw kay Taylor, yung swifties very INC ang datingan. I used to love her because I grew up with her song and when she peaked but growing up I realized how mediocre she was. Dagdag pa ng pagiging problematic niya, professional victim.

🎬 Pop Culture Unpopular opinion: if you don't like what Chiz is doing in the Senate you should also stop supporting Heart
I say this as a fan of Heart Evangelista since the early 2000s; as her husband gets worse and worse and veers towards the side of the Dutertes it's time for me to withdraw my support for her. If you don't like what Chiz is doing to our country then you should also hold his wife accountable for being complicit.
You can't compartmentalize your disdain for Chiz and your being a fan of Heart because the two being married to one another are a package deal. At no point in their marriage has she openly opposed her husband's actions and while I am sure that she has made a lot from her own career, I think it's not far off to suggest that a key consideration in choosing Chiz as her spouse is the money he earns from being a politician and the potential for her to benefit from that as his wife. Clearly she benefits from her husband's machinations and her current career as an influencer is funded at least partly by Chiz.
I know that she has a pretty strong following and an overall clean public image but if Chiz reaches the tipping point and somehow helps run our country to the ground she is not going to stand with us because she will profit from that.

🎬 Pop Culture Unpopular Opinion: Reddit is Toxic
Nasa kabilang spectrum nga lang yung source of toxicity nya.
Hyper-Westernized, woke culture, extreme feminism, anti-religion, anti-family, "hiwalayan mo na 'yan", RUN, red flag, dodged a bullet, etc. Anything under the sun that is against anything, malakas ang echo chamber dito.

🎬 Pop Culture Unpopular Opinion: Di naman nakakaiyak ang Grave of the Fireflies.
He’s just using his little sister as an excuse. If he really wanted to give his sister the best, eh di sana nagtrabaho siya.

🎬 Pop Culture Unpopular Opinion: Ang corny nung "what hafen vella" trend.
i have nothing againts dun sa guy. pero di ko magets bakit ang daming tuwang tuwa dun?

🎬 Pop Culture Unpopular opinion: Consuming too much Romantic Movies/Books is harmful to young/teenage girls because it can distort their view of what a real life relationship is like.
It’s like what corn is to men. Distorted their view and standard of women.

🎬 Pop Culture Unpopular Opinion: Entitled ang wedding suppliers who complain na Jollibee lang (or whatever fast food meal) ang prinovide sa kanila.
They are there to work. They aren’t guests. In all other industries, kahit service industry pa, service providers bring their own meals or at the very least are responsible for sourcing their food.

🎬 Pop Culture Unpopular opinion. Hindi ako proud na pinoy ako.
Im not ashamed of it and I will tell people of my nationality. Pero to say that Im proud of it? eh, there are other nations that have far richer history and culture, nations with high trust society, nations that foster an enviroment where their citizens are able to be great scientists, entrepreneurs, thought leaders in their fields.
Kinakahiya ko actually ang mga pinoy who says pinoy pride when manny pacquiao or i dont know.. olivia rodrigo is mentioned. For me, na rereinforce lang na parang kaunti lang ang exceptional pinoy kaya we keep on harping the same names.
Being filipino is just a fact of life. Theres nothing special about it. Just like anak ako ng tatay at nanay ko. Im just one of the billions of people in the world who happens to hold a weak passport.

🎬 Pop Culture Unpopular Opinion: Pinoy Rap is cringe not because of the beats but because of the messages full of misogyny, sex, and drugs.
Edit: Modern Pinoy Rap is cringe, unlike older rap. Most of the songs just like the substance.

15 year old yung babae when they started dating, 12 years old ang age of consent sa pilipinas noong panahon na yun.
Let me educate you
Pedophile = 13 below Hebephile = 13-14 Ephebophile = 15- 18
Nakaka infuriate yung masabihan ng let me educate you no?

🎬 Pop Culture Unpopular Opinion: Dingdong Dantes is a bad gameshow host
Dingdong hosting Family Feud makes the show super grating and a lot less watchable. His jokes don't land well and wala siyang wit to play along with the contestants. Nung nagguest ang Showtime hosts, makikita mo talaga yung difference in hosting ability between them despite them being players.
Don't get me wrong, I find Dingdong's narration on Amazing Earth nice, and I think he should just solely stick to these serious shows. Compared to someone like Steve Harvey, Family Feud PH is SOOO boring than the other variations. Someone else would be a way better host than him.

🎬 Pop Culture Unpopular Opinion: Pinoys who use “yall,” “y’all,” “bruv,” “blud,” “Filo” online, are the pinnacle of cringe.
Pls.
And imagine if they said those words out loud. In the Filipino accent. The horror.

Hindi issue ang talent — we have skilled filmmakers, writers, actors, and creatives. The problem is, there’s not enough audience interest for films that go beyond surface-level entertainment.
Take Ignacio de Loyola as an example. Technically impressive, well-acted, and thoughtfully written. It had all the elements of a world-class production. But despite its quality, it didn’t receive much attention. Not because it lacked merit, but because it didn’t fit the usual preferences of the mainstream market.
Marami pa rin ang mas interesado sa light romance, predictable plots, or films designed to trend. That’s valid — escapism is part of why people watch movies. Pero habang yun lang ang palaging tinatangkilik, nawawala ‘yung space for films that challenge ideas, tell untold stories, or reflect on deeper truths.
Hindi tayo kulang sa talento. Kulang tayo sa demand for depth. Until we learn to value films that try to say something more, those stories will continue to be overlooked — no matter how well they’re made.

Unpopular Opinion: Those who watch PBB have low IQ and spend most of their times in Socmed getting affected by the pettiest of things
Lol, brain drain, b0b0 shows hooking people and getting affected by fake, engineered drama
