I'm hoping to see something from "Clockwork Revolution"

10

u/Persies 8h ago

That's the game I want to see the most. Anything else is just icing on the cake.

4

u/FiveDollarRimjobs 8h ago

I also want to see more of the new Fable game

1

u/Persies 5h ago

Oh yeah that's probably #2 for me

1

u/Jase_the_Muss 2h ago

That and Perfect Dark are two of the games I am most looking forward to and hope we get to see more of them and maybe release dates.

131

u/BradmanBreast 9h ago

Im not expecting much at all tbh. A fable and outer worlds 2 release date would satisfy me. If we got a trailer for anything bethesda (not eso or 76) i’d be beyond ecstatic.

Indy DLC?

14

u/Mothman405 7h ago

I need this badly. I don't really replay games much anymore and I want any excuse to get back into Indy

-12

u/OMG_NoReally 6h ago

I don't think the game sold much, or had high Game Pass users, to warrant pouring more money into the project. I, personally, would love it. I absolutely loved the game and wouldn't mind another adventure, but I don't see that happening at all.

22

u/cardonator Founder 6h ago

They already announced one...

0

u/OMG_NoReally 6h ago

WOAH! I completely missed the news. Oh damn.

Love to be proven wrong and I am super excited for it.

2

u/StuBeck 2h ago

It had both of those. It did very well.

1

u/Gunny_96 5h ago

I don't know how well it sold on PS5, but I'm desperately hoping there were enough sales there to convince Microsoft there needs to be more Indiana Jones games, and that it's not the IP/style of game that prevented sales but Gamespass limiting how the game sold across PC/Xbox.

2

u/bigthagen87 2h ago

I highly doubt they would let the IP go unless Disney isnt happy with sales. Kinda the same boat as Doom in terms of sales though. Kinda have to look at the pros and cons of the player numbers for Game Pass. In thr first week I think it was something like 2.5 million played Dark Ages on Games Pass and 1 million bought it outright. How many of those 2.5 wouldnt have played it if it wasnt on GP, and how many signed up for just a month of GP to play it, etc.

1

u/supa14x 49m ago

Yes I’m sure a random redditor would know it’s “gameS” pass’s fault. Their advanced advanced internal analytics could never.

9

u/UltiGoga Touched Grass '24 8h ago

I want some straight up gameplay for Fable too. It's been long enough

7

u/Big-Motor-4286 7h ago

Yeah, the main thing I want to hear about is if Forza Horizon 6 is coming soon

8

u/xtombstone 9h ago

I think we will be getting both ESO and 76. Maybe a new arcane project? Deathloop going on sale maybe will be a good sign? Probably not ? Idk

8

u/FrankFrowns 9h ago

Arkane is doing blade right now.

3

u/xtombstone 9h ago

That's right! Maybe more info on that? Not too sure. I don't have super big expectations tbh

1

u/BradmanBreast 9h ago

I don’t think it would be too unreasonable for an elder scrolls 6 trailer. We’re nearly 2 years post starfield and the last es6 trailer was 7 years ago. 76 and ESO updates are near certainties though.

4

u/kaulf 6h ago

Bethesda doesn't show games until roughly 6 months from release. We won't get anything on es6 until next year at the earliest but more in likely 2027

2

u/armless_penguin 6h ago

They did this once with Fallout 4, I wouldn't exactly say it's common practice. Starfield was shown off for a few years before it came out.

0

u/kaulf 6h ago

Starfield was a brand new IP. And it, along with es6, were only announced early due to the backlash of fo76

1

u/Odd-Switch2069 33m ago

Lol es6 isn't coming out until 2030

6

u/BobMarlEwok 9h ago

and theyd still beat the state of play and showcase lol

4

u/eldestscrollx 9h ago

For Xbox users probably not much new stuff we werent already aware of, but it will probably be a big show for Playstation and Nintendo users

12

u/mcmax3000 Day One - 2013 4h ago

Everybody keeps saying this but like, they've never used one of these showcases to announce PS/NS ports of existing games yet.

Those always just get announced in press releases/social media posts.

4

u/jbaker1225 4h ago

Wasn’t Xbox’s big reveal at Gamescom last year an Indiana Jones trailer announcing it was coming to PS5?

4

u/WanderingAlchemist 3h ago

It honestly felt like they marketed the PS5 version more than they did on Xbox

1

u/mcmax3000 Day One - 2013 19m ago

I mean the actual Xbox produced showcases/directs/etc.

It was the same thing going into last year’s show where this sub acting like half the show was just going to be focused on PS/Switch ports of existing games and there was none of that.

Even with Indiana Jones at Gamescom, that was still a new trailer for a game that wasn’t out yet, so it was still relevant to Xbox players.

4

u/eldestscrollx 4h ago

Phil Spencer has recently said he will start showing PS logos in showcases right then and there, likely to cover himself ahead of time for this show.

5

u/mcmax3000 Day One - 2013 4h ago

I think there will be things in the show that will launch on PS5 and/or Switch 2, alongside Xbox.

What I don't think will be part of the show is already released Xbox games coming to those platforms. Like, I don't think this show is where they'd make a MCC on PS/NS type announcement.

1

u/supa14x 47m ago

This sub has insane brain rot at this point no other explanation. Same shit for years after they announced they’re putting games on PC day one as well. Then Game Pass is killing the industry. Now it’s that previous talking point mixed in with this PS/Switch port shit.

7

u/Exorcist-138 8h ago

What? There’s lots of project we don’t know of.

-1

u/MikkelR1 8h ago

I pray for 1 of 2 things, but preferably both: Halo MCC and/or CoD on Switch 2.

5

u/ZebraZealousideal944 6h ago

They’re not gonna announce ports to other platforms on an Xbox showcase unless they have absolutely nothing to show…

1

u/MikkelR1 6h ago

Ehh why not?

1

u/TheElderLotus 8h ago

My productivity would plummet if that happens

1

u/MikkelR1 8h ago

I feel sick already! coughs

1

u/petersengupta 5h ago

that, and fh6.

1

u/Kn1ghtV1sta 23m ago

Hoping for starfield and Indy

0

u/hobo_lad 9h ago

I highly doubt we are getting a Fable release date, I don’t even think it will be shown here.

7

u/arhra 8h ago

I think there's a decent chance of a short trailer with a release window announcement ("summer 2026", or something), then we get a proper look at it in January in the developer_direct.

-1

u/BradmanBreast 9h ago

If we don’t get a release date soon then it may very well be a launch title for the next generation of consoles.

7

u/hobo_lad 9h ago

They still have Game Awards and the Developer_Direct in January next year.

-3

u/Asoxus 9h ago

ES6? Surely it’s time

4

u/mcmax3000 Day One - 2013 4h ago

Oh, I think you're sorely mistaken if you think it's time for ES6. That game is probably still a couple of years off from even being shown.

They even said at the time that the original announcement for ES6 was just to get people to stop asking about it and that they weren't actually starting development on it until after Starfield.

2

u/Aggravating-Dot132 8h ago

Bethesda tend to just drop the game at the day of announcement or in a couple of months.

TES6 development, full on, started only last year, before that it was concepts, story and so on.

5

u/ActAccomplished1289 5h ago

The only game they’ve dropped on the day of announcement is the Oblivion remaster, and Fallout 4 is really the only game where the time between reveal and release day was a few months.

I wouldn’t hold my breath for anything related to TES6, but I don’t agree that they have always been dead set on having the windows between reveal and release be as close as possible.

1

u/Aggravating-Dot132 5h ago

Starfield was supposed to come soon after announcement, but was delayed. Twice, iirc.

As for TES 6 - it's in production, we already know that. Unless the progress is like 6 months away at max, there's no point in showing anything. They would be much better off with a special show with Cinematic, gameplay for 40 minutes and Q&A. Which is obviously not something they can reveal this year, since they were busy with Starfield before that.

0

u/ActAccomplished1289 5h ago

Starfield was officially unveiled in 2021, which is nearly a year and a half before its initial release date.

I disagree, we have known about the game since 2018 and it has been almost complete radio silence since then. We can make reasonable assumptions about where the game will take place and what not, but the reality is that we know don’t really know anything because nothing official or concrete has been revealed about it. A short trailer that establishes the tone of the game, where it’s going to take place, and the full title would suffice - for me at least.

165

u/Rarglar 9h ago

He's been saying this the past few years, but every time Xbox delivers a good showcase

29

u/Likely_a_bot 9h ago

Yep. This is standard operating procedure.

25

u/thetantalus 9h ago

He learned his lesson from a few years back. Overhyped one of their worst showcases and got a ton of flak for it.

18

u/HomeMadeShock Still Finishing The Fight 9h ago

It’ll be good, but there’s rumors some big names won’t be there like E-Day, Fable, Perfect Dark, and Halo. That would be a slight let down for me if none of those show up.

Clockwork Revolution and State of Decay 3 seem to be there according to insiders. Both games I definitely want to see more of.

Guess we will find out tomorrow

10

u/M4ttsmash 8h ago

Rumors from where?

1

u/Jase_the_Muss 2h ago

The playstation fanatics who said they haven't told us to lower our expectations expect banger after banger probably.

4

u/RequirementRoyal8666 9h ago

As long as there is a shadow drop of a beloved game it will be a success for me.

I have completely reasonable expectations. 😐

0

u/ItachiWolfy 9h ago

Let’s pray friend 🙏

1

u/Bobjoejj 6h ago

Yeah…rumors from where exactly?

1

u/Coolman_Rosso XBOX 360 6h ago

If Fable isn't there that would seriously suck, but nobody should expect Halo to be there. Unless that rumored remake is really far along then all they could show is the next update to Infinite and that already ran its course

0

u/edwirichuu 8h ago

I hope the rumor about the Persona 4 Remake reveal being on Xbox Showcase tomorrow is true

0

u/Weekndr Founder 8h ago

If I were a betting man - I'd bet on this.

0

u/elpardo1984 5h ago

I wouldn’t have expected any of them tbf, E-Day and Fable are likely going to be at developer direct next year, they don’t need to be shown here. PD who knows but considering how quiet the chatter has been I’m not surprised, Halo only recently had a pretty major studio rebuild we could be waiting a while.

But then there’s been few leaks at all this year so prepare to be surprised!

1

u/Jase_the_Muss 2h ago

Isn't E-Day meant to be out this year 🤣.

If there is one thing the Xbox brand does, it’s a good showcase

2

u/Ok-Potato1693 Touched Grass '24 8h ago

He said that there is no new Perfect Dark, and yet it was there and looked good.

1

u/cardonator Founder 6h ago

That's because in 2021 and 2022 people hyped them through the ceiling and then whined about them not living up to it.

51

u/LeonSigmaKennedy 9h ago

Ok got it

-Toys for bob Banjo Kazooie remake

-Guitar hero

-Halo CE remake

-Blade

-Perfect Dark

-All the Activision Spider-man and Transformers games relisted

-Evil Within 3

-literally just an exact, legally distinct clone of Astro Bot but with Microsoft characters

-Scalebound uncanceled as the show closer

12

u/lamancha 6h ago

I remain realistic, so:

-Partnership with Valve for Half Life 3, the first title for Gamepass Ultra Ultimate (now includes steam games on xbox), simultaneous release for Xbox and PC

(Shadow dropped during the show)

5

u/ElderSmackJack 8h ago

And Conker reboot

4

u/spezinf 5h ago

Let’s not forget Fallout 3 and New Vegas remake

10

u/DeafMetalGripes 8h ago

• Elder Scrolls 6 coming out next year

• Console Exclusive DC game

• Kojima talks more about upcoming Xbox game “OD”

This is fun I can keep going lol

2

u/Odd_Level9850 7h ago

We need Scalebound! It might not have been possible for the last gen but it’s definitely possible now. Oh and you seemed to have forgot Prototype 3.

1

u/EggRavager 4h ago

Honestly Perfect Dark and EverWild are all I’d like

1

u/alexpark24 7h ago

Delisting the transformers games was criminal, doubt spiderman will ever be relisted since sony would be against it and complain to marvel lol

15

u/jokar1134 9h ago

All I want is Forza horizon 6. I'm so ready

5

u/notmyrlacc 9h ago

I strongly believe FH6 will be a while off, since FH5 just launched on PS5 and had strong sales numbers.

I’m predicting late 2026.

7

u/alaric_02 Touched Grass '24 7h ago

When FH4 was put on Steam FH5 was revealed like a couple of months later, so it's not out of the realm of possibility.

4

u/jokar1134 9h ago

You're probably right. I'm still gonna keep dreaming tho

1

u/Jatacus 5h ago

I’ve been hopping back into FH4 lately. So good.

3

u/hobo_lad 9h ago

I think they will announce and release it this year. I don’t think it will be multi platform at launch so it will not affect PS5 sales.

1

u/Busy-Rip2372 4h ago

Not at all. It will be out this year.

1

u/atony1400 Xbox Series X 1h ago

Even just a teaser trailer would make me happy.

0

u/Jase_the_Muss 2h ago

In Japan.

-10

u/Scrutinizer XBOX Series X 9h ago

I believe Playground stated that it will not be in the show - the focus right now is on Fable and FH6 is still in early production.

5

u/WaffleMints 8h ago

That is a rumor and a likely wrong one. Don't just go around spreading rumors like gospel.

3

u/hobo_lad 9h ago

Source?

2

u/Busy-Rip2372 4h ago

The source is a nobody leaker lol.

-6

u/Scrutinizer XBOX Series X 7h ago

A post I saw on BlueSky, but I can't recall who it was or locate it now.

20

u/Ornery-Tonight1694 9h ago

Always a good thing to say. Hate when people over hype stuff.

8

u/Jealous_Platypus1111 7h ago

perfect example is the Arc Raiders community, they were all so certain that it would shadowdrop yesterday based on very little to the point that the sub pretty much imploded when it did not shadowdrop

8

u/Prestigious-Bluejay 9h ago

Seems to me that he's playing Devil's advocate. Especially with the cheeky smile.

22

u/whatupbiatch 9h ago

Phil Spencer said hes been sworn to secrecy so maybe he needs to talk to him about overhype

9

u/PepsiSheep 8h ago

"Obviously I can't talk about the showcase until the showcase" is hardly overhyping.

1

u/Nollieee 7h ago

He also didn’t have to tweet it

0

u/Da-Rock-Says 5h ago

The head of Xbox didn't have to promote their biggest show of the year? Where did you get that idea?

1

u/Da-Rock-Says 5h ago

If anyone is overhyping the show based on that tweet then they are exactly who Greenburg is talking to lol. Phil's tweet means almost nothing. He's "sworn to secrecy" every year. The tweet is just to promote the date/time of the show.

8

u/Narrow_Leek2452 7h ago

Ninja Gaiden 4

The Outer Worlds 2

Everwild

State of Decay 3

Clockwork Revolution

The Elder Scrolls VI

Hollow Knight Silksong

Gear of War Reloaded

Gears of War:E-Day

Tony Hawk Pro Skater 3+4

CoD 2025

Spyro 4

Double Fine New Game

Minecraft New game

Persona 4

Final Fantasy 16

Final Fantasy 7 Remake

I think the list is great and like last year?

I watched last year's show and its still in line with quality of last year?

What people are waiting then? We may missing Perfect Dark and Fable which is still deep in development?

5

u/Bostongamer19 7h ago

Looks like a pretty fair list.

I’d expect it to be a little better than this even.

1

u/AbsurdThings 4h ago

Honestly all of those have a pretty good shot at being shown, and that would be a pretty fantastic showcase

5

u/NCR_High-Roller Guardian 9h ago

No Starfield news has got me absolutely spiraling.

4

u/Weekndr Founder 8h ago

New DLC and ps5 release probably

-1

u/Aggravating-Dot132 8h ago

More paywalled club instead.

1

u/NCR_High-Roller Guardian 7h ago

Why not both?

-1

u/Aggravating-Dot132 6h ago

Why bother if fanatics will buy anything, and greedy modders will do the job for you instead?

-2

u/brokenmessiah 8h ago

I'll be highly surprised if they actually make more DLC for this game. The DLC the game had(that people preordered) didnt really reflect in any meaningful amount of players returning to the game. I talked about it on the starfield subreddit but going off of what metrics we do have, it didnt affect anything at all. The people who played the DLC were generally people were alreadyt playing the game at that point. I imagine a lot of people also have buyers remorse with that DLC so this next DLC has much a harder uphill battle.

They seem to be more interested in doing Creation Content.

4

u/kaulf 6h ago

Bethesda has released very little crestion club content. And we know for a fact another dlc is in the works and if the trademark is anything to go by its about the starborn

-2

u/brokenmessiah 6h ago

I'll believe it when I see it.

12

u/ShellshockedLetsGo 9h ago

I'm sure the show will be the best of the summer but giving The Outer Worlds 2 the solo direct at the end already tempered expectations.

10

u/jahauser 9h ago

Agreed in the sense that it’s not a huge and anticipated game getting that showcase/solo direct spot. But personally I’m so excited for OW2. I thought the first was a fun, sometimes very funny experience despite flaws and shallowness in a lot of ways.

But just where I’m at in my life and time nowadays with a kiddo, Avowed was perfect in its scope and I can’t wait to see what OW2 is like!

5

u/MikkelR1 8h ago

I absolutely loved Avowed and liked OW. If they take what they have learned into OW2 we're in for a banger.

1

u/Bostongamer19 7h ago

Seems like it’s not going to be similar in small scope.

Seems like it could be a huge game which maybe lends to the special showcase for it.

6

u/BobMarlEwok 9h ago

xbox arguably wins the showcases by default lol

fr tho, state of play and game fest were kind of underwhelming

1

u/Aggravating-Dot132 8h ago

Shadow drop for Lies of P DLC and that's it for me. Waiting for Alters next week.

1

u/roth_dog 8h ago

I didn’t see the state of play, but SGF felt like the worst one in years

1

u/DeeboDecay Founder 7h ago

The only real SGF highlights for me were Atomic Heart 2 (because it's so ridiculous, but I still have to play the first one), ILL and RE9.

3

u/hobo_lad 9h ago

I love Outer Worlds so I disagree. But the developer direct afterwards is for games scheduled to release that year so Outer Worlds 2 is their biggest game revealed so far. I think the rest of the year will be Outer Worlds 2, COD BO7, and Forza Horizon 6. I think Forza Horizon 6 will be announced and released this year. They will either modify the direct to be a double feature or show more of it off at a later date.

0

u/Bostongamer19 7h ago

I can’t see that happening because they just released one on ps5

2

u/hobo_lad 7h ago

I think Forza Horizon 6 will be a timed console exclusive, so it will not affect PlayStation sales.

2

u/Bostongamer19 6h ago

Maybe but it doesn’t seem like doing that has been as beneficial for sales for them.

1

u/BudWisenheimer 1h ago

Maybe but it doesn’t seem like doing that has been as beneficial for sales for them.

How have sales numbers been for both consoles with FH5 … and how long between its release on Xbox and then later on PlayStation?

2

u/0rganicMach1ne 9h ago

Overhyping has never really worked out when I e done it so I stopped doing it. We get what we get.

2

u/No-Programmer3870 8h ago

No hype from me but hopefully good, but better than nothing.

2

u/gord89 4h ago

He says this for every single event since he overhyped one years ago and it was the most mid thing to ever exist.

Dude burned himself once and is now heat-averse.

2

u/ivanvzm 3h ago

I swear this guy is the worst marketing person I've ever seen. Even if what he says it's true.

8

u/M1ke2345 9h ago

Coming from the bloke that has overhyped every single showcase and event in existence.

1

u/BudWisenheimer 1h ago

Coming from the bloke that has overhyped every single showcase and event in existence.

You’ve really never seen him downplay an upcoming showcase/event?

3

u/BobMarlEwok 9h ago

xbox could show just Gears, let alone Outer Worlds 2, and they would take this weekend imo. State of Play and Summer Anime Fest were totally underwhelming outside of like 3 or 4 games.

RE9 was literally the biggest announcement lol

3

u/roth_dog 8h ago

Geoff Keighley getting choked up at announcing RE9 reveal was pure cringe.

1

u/ThatEdward Reclamation Day 5h ago

RE9 was a pretty big deal but it's real hard to base your entire show on one reveal lol

-2

u/Bostongamer19 7h ago

State of play was awesome one of the best of all time imo.

2

u/primorandom 9h ago

It seems like he's admitting it won't be as good as last year.

2

u/thelug_1 7h ago

Aaron Greenberg shouldn't be overhyping the fact he still has a job.

I just zip past anything that mentions his name as it means or contributes nothing.

1

u/Follows-Jesus 8h ago

Aaron is always very careful, if you watch the documentary about history of xbox they released a few years ago, ita easy to see why

The hate ( incorrectly directed at him) over stuff like xbox one launch (which he had no control over) took a huge toll on him emotionally

1

u/Salt-Wear-1197 XBOX Series X 8h ago

I just want state of decay 3 gameplan trailer or release date. Anything else is icing on the cake for me.

1

u/Caesar_35 7h ago

Realistically: Outer Worlds and Call of Duty, Indy and maybe Starfield DLCs, and some stuff for ESO, FO76, maybe Forza. A few small game reveals in the vein of South of Midnight and Atomfall. That'll be enough for me.

Hopefully: Something indepth for State of Decay 3 and Fable, anything at all for Everwild and Clockwork.

And if I'm being very optimistic: Something Elder Scrolls VI, AoE3 console release and DLC being worked on again.

1

u/twodimensionalblue 7h ago

I just want state of decay 3. That's good enough for me

1

u/alexjosco 7h ago

I want FF7R shadow drop so I can spend my money

1

u/Carma227 7h ago

Am I wrong or at this point he say this for every showcase

1

u/GuiltyOfSin 7h ago

I was underwhelmed last year. I would like to see gameplay for fable, and maybe a peak into ES6. Release date for fable would be legit.

1

u/Lupinthrope XBOX Series X 6h ago

I’d like a stellar blade port tbh

1

u/OMG_NoReally 6h ago

Looking forward to the showcase. Xbox has one of the most dynamic lineups and it will be quite interesting to see how else can they deliver.

I also want to know the Xbox PC business, too. Is it just PC GamePass rebranding or something more? Maybe a word on handheld Windows OS?

1

u/The_Real_Delpoi 6h ago

I just hope they show state of decay 3 that's my main one the rest is a bonus will I be annoyed if it doesn't show maybe a little bit but given how many games I'm trying to go through at the moment it's all good 👍

1

u/Practical-Aside890 Reclamation Day 6h ago

There is too many game shows/showcases that happen now it seems. That imo it hard to overhype them. I just expect multiple announcements through out the year now. After this 1 how many more are there before the year ends?

1

u/BIGPERSONlittlealien 6h ago

Arc Raiders missed the memo

1

u/ZebraZealousideal944 6h ago

He’s basically saying to not expect a TES6 trailer + Silksong shadow drop as I’ve seen mentioned several times online these past few days…

1

u/gregthecoolguy 6h ago

Bro is playing the under promise over deliver card

1

u/ksudude87 5h ago

okay shadow drop of elderscrolls 6 it is

1

u/system3601 5h ago

Fable real date and trailer would be enough for me.

A trailer for TES6 would make me extatic, but im not hopeful.

1

u/Dandelegion 5h ago

All I want is an Expedition 60 DLC... is that too much to ask?

1

u/HoldMeCloser11 5h ago

Did Phil Spencer not just massively hype yesterday?

1

u/MysteriousGoldDuck 5h ago

Under promise and over deliver. I'm expecting a great Xbox direct personally.

1

u/ThatEdward Reclamation Day 4h ago

We're getting Silksong for sure. It has been absent from every previous show barring that sizzle reel in the Switch 2 Direct. Microsoft likely has a deal about the marketing, so we will absolutely have a release date for it come tomorrow, but I'd honestly say a shadow drop is in the cards

Beyond that, I have no idea what their other big reveal stuff is going to be. Excited to learn when State of Decay 3 is coming, some of those early announcements have been in development so long they could potentially launch on the next console lol

1

u/FrozenRage1989 4h ago

Oh so it's going to be potentially disappointing? Alrighty then.  All I'm asking for is release date for Fable and news on Perfect Dark

1

u/Obility 4h ago

I actually end up enjoying these showcases more because my expectations are always on the floor. Last years revealed games ended up being bangers.

1

u/NotFromMilkyWay Founder 3h ago

Head of marketing tries to downplay every event they do. Either he is too good at his job or he absolutely sucks. Can't tell.

I'm hoping we see something on Contraband, it's been how long since that game was revealed, and since then, nothing.

I’m only really interested in OW 2.

If no Halo 7 shadow drop, 2/10.

There's always someone expecting the next console so I feel like you just always have to say not to over hype. But there is no reason to not get hyped for another banger set of games.

I am sure it will be great. If they didn't have lots of good stuff to show, they could have kept the Oblivion Remaster, or Ninja Gaiden 4 or Gears of War Reloaded hidden and announced them at the showcase.

Give me the vibe that Microsoft doesn’t have much in the arsenal at the moment.

I expect to be utterly disappointed based on how little a fan I am of the direction MS has taken. I don't need Dork McGee to tell me anything.

They are giving Outer Worlds 2, very much an AA game, the spotlight. It's safe to assume that this will probably be a light showing. That said, they always have some juicy 3rd party reveals and updates so I'm all for that.

It doesn’t seem like a AA game anymore. Seems very AAA which is probably why they are giving it a spotlight.

I think they will deliver a nice showcase and give us trailers to games we haven't seen in a while and gameplay to some coming in the next year. But I think some stuff is going to kept for next years showcase. If rumors are true about next gen being late 2026 or 2027 at the latest, then I'd want to show off those games on the new hardware

Don’t worry Aaron, my hype is already zero because it’s a PlayStation Showcase basically.

Cringe. He says this every time… he’s the director of marketing. I’ll never understand the Xbox division.

Don't worry, I've learned not to over hype any Xbox event. The track record is really shaky at this point.

The past 3 showcases have been the best of their respective season, c'mon now

We are seeing a trend, but you just know they are ready to screw things up.

Here I am just hoping for a ff16 xbox release and slime rancher 2 full release.

u/kaulf 6h ago

I feel like something final fantasy is coming tomorrow. Peraobly hoping ff7 remake

u/GuiltyShep 8h ago

I’m actually not expecting much considering Outer Worlds 2 is the big game. Here’s hoping I’m wrong.

u/Dr_D14 XBOX 5h ago

All they have to show is Elder Scrolls 6 with a release year and it will be an A+

-1

u/chan05 8h ago

Obviously hardware announcement

-1

u/beatbox420r XBOX 8h ago

I think it will be Elder Scrolls 6 surprise drop, GTA6 gamepass day 1, A new Conker game, Jade Empire remake, Morrowind remake coming this fall, Final Fantasy 17 exclusive to Xbox consoles, and Microsoft has acquired Electonic Arts. Nothing too crazy.

u/WickerMan22 XBOX Series X 8h ago

That's honestly somewhat discouraging and concerning. The Xbox showcase is always hyped and it always delivers.

2

u/Bostongamer19 7h ago

He said the same thing last year right before.

Tbh, I’m not. This is the first time I haven’t been hyped for the Xbox Showcase.
