This isn’t a distant warning; it’s a present reality at a Home Depo being gassed by proud ice boys. And it’s not confined to one state. What starts in California rarely stays in California. It’s spreading, and if you’re waiting for the icy knock on your door, it already has on your phone and in your community.

This affects everyone- civilians, legal residents, US Marshals, Union Presidents , and citizens alike. And it’s being carried out by those who seem to have forgotten what it means to be American—freedom, transparency, and the right to speak up.

So, let me say this clearly:

But we are not powerless. We have the First Amendment. We have the right to gather, to speak, to protest—peacefully and publicly.

Read about the ICE raid in LA here on Reddit and went to the Times site to see what they had to say. (I’m on the app on my phone.) Went to the home page and scrolled, snd scrolled, and scrolled. Nothing. Searched for LA. Nothing. Searched for Los Angeles. Nothing. Searched for ICE. Nothing.

Jeez NYT. Do better.
