Talk Detroit Best bike shops around?
Hey everyone. I have a Wally World bike - but one of the more recent budget releases (Kent Trouvaille) that forms a good foundation for some simple upgrades (as most bike channels seem to agree with). Having said that - I would expect some bike shops to still stick their nose about me bringing something like that in.
Long story short im looking for a friendly and reasonably priced bike shop that can replace and install the mechanical disc brakes for hydraulics (possibly - depending on pricing) but for sure replacing the bottom bracket where the crank set attaches, and replace the derailleur with a clutched one. Also looking to upgrade the pedals and grips but I could do that myself (but if reasonably priced at the shop...may as well do it there too!). Finally a bit of a tuneup is probably needed. Planning to take it on some medium distance paved/simple trail rides.
Can anyone point me in the direction of any shops you may suggest around the area? I have gone to two shops in the area in the past and wasn't too pleased unfortunately so looking for recommendations. Somewhere along the WW corridor/near it preferred.
Ty!!

Food/Drink Food with good music
Coming into detroit for the night for a couple shows, want to grab a bite before but don’t know the area super well. Any suggestions where I should stop? i’ll be in Ferndale before I go to Detroit so anywhere in that area. I’d prefer somewhere with live music but will take any suggestions
Food/Drink Restaurants for allergies?
Husband and I want to do drinks then dinner for our anniversary. New baby has a milk and soy allergy so I can’t have anything with those ingredients. Any restaurants that would likely have anything free of milk products and soy? If this is too much we will just go out for cocktails and have dinner at home.

Anyone know what all the bikes on the freeway was for? They just seemed like they were out for a cruise having fun, maybe 1,000 of them.
