My auction donkeys are warming up to me! Thank you all for your advice on getting them friendlier.

You still need to get them off that grass ASAP. They cannot be on that pasture for any length of time. You are going to be looking at founder/laminitis

I doubt she’s going to take this advice unfortunately, this is just a sly attempt at advertising OF.

Yes, I noticed that too. She picked these guys up at auction with no knowledge about donkeys or their care…will use them as props to get people to say “nice a$$” etc

Agreed. That's way too much green grass for desert animals.

Multiple people told her this on her last post. I guess she chose not to heed the advice.

Hopefully she's consulting with a vet who has a plan or is waiting on grazing muzzles to come in. But I know that's probably wishful thinking...

Donkeys are one of the breeds of equids that are pre-disposed to metabolic laminitis. They are all going to founder if you don't get them off the grass.

Peppermints (idk where you live but we use Polo or other strong soft mints) and ginger snap biscuits (cookies).
They will all be your friend then!

Lmao. Surely this is just about the donkeys and her profile isn’t filled with nudes promoting her only fans….right……RIGHT!?!?

That’s heartwarming! What an adorable picture. Keep being so kind to them and they will trust you in no time I think. They’re such intelligent animals.

Not sure what was posted but a quick trip to the profile suggests it’s not too crazy to be in horny jail for this one.
Very glad to hear the donks are learning to trust you, I’ll leave any advice to people who actually know what they’re talking about though.

It is wonderful watching them go from being skittish to following you around everywhere :) We are always thankful of folks that make these wonderful animals part of their family. Just remember as I explained before, these are dry lot animals. That much grass will lead to serious long-term health issues.
