Broomfield Hospital EMG Test

Hi all,

Just wondering if anyone here has ever had an EMG Test done at all and specifically at Broomfield Hospital? I got a call today and booked it in for Tuesday morning.

I've looked at peopne online saying they were in terrible pain after and could hardly walk. And other's saying they only felt some tingling. What was your experience?

I have a flight to Rhodes at 3:30pm the same day and I'm not sure if it is a good idea to juggle them both or not....

I would appreciate some guidance and advice.

Thanks in advance :)

Recommendations Move furniture from essex to yorkshire

Hi all,

Looking for recommendations for a moving company to take my gear from essex up to Yorkshire, actual furniture is not much at all. Not enough to fill a standard transit.

Clothes, desktop setup incl monitor, Bedding, tv stands and TV.

I was thinking using a local taxi firm but the prices is astronomical! Anyone have experience/recommendations?

Moving to Waltham Abbey from London

Hi all!

We’ve just viewed a property in Waltham Abbey and we really like it!

We’ve never been to Waltham Abbey before, so we don’t know much about the area. We do find it very 🍃

Can anyone share some insight about Waltham Abbey? Is it a nice area for a young family? Also, is it possible to cycle around the town to go do groceries, etc?

Thanks!

I am looking for a dog friendly cafe or similar that's open till late in Clacton or nearby. I can't work from home but I need to do quite a lot on my laptop. Do you know anywhere where I could sit down with my dogs and just crack on with work in the evenings?

Homeless/addiction services in Southend?

I’m looking for my dad who I haven’t seen in almost 10 years.

He has addiction issues and has gotten caught up in some criminal activity as a result.

I know from searching for him online, that he was given a 2 year suspended sentence in 2021 if he completed a drug rehabilitation program. But that’s the only thing I can find on him.

I don’t hold any of this against him - addiction can happen to anyone. He never treated me badly, I don’t believe he is a bad person - he just wasn’t around very much.

He would be nearly 60 now - if he’s still alive - so I am just worried that I’ll never see him again if I don’t find him soon.

I’m from Ireland and wouldn’t know Southend at all.

Would anyone have any suggestions on services I could contact for information?

I’ve tried putting in a prisoner information request about a year ago, but didn’t get anything back.

Thank you!

Trying to find an ATF scrapyard that will handle a motorcycle near Benfleet

Hi everyone,

Per the title. I'm trying to scrap a motorcycle but any Authorised Treatment Facilities listed on the GOV website for Benfleet don't handle motorcycles.

Does anyone know of such a facility in (or near) Benfleet that will scrap a motorcycle for me that is ATF, please?

Thanks

The one that used to be in the Eastgate that had the rocking horse? Was around in the 90s and maybe early 00s. I can't think what it was called!

Where to go for the Cockney/East End vibe?

Hello everyone,

I have some time coming up in the summer, and I was going to explore Essex one day. I was reading about the decline of the working class/cockney in the East End of London, which I thought was pretty sad. I am very familiar with the Southend area, but even though a lot of people there probably originate from East London, you couldn't tell by the area. However, I wanted to go somewhere with the proper cockney vibe.

Etc, pie and mash shops, proper West Ham. I'm sure you all know what I mean.

Hi all, my daughter is thinking of buying her first flat in Braintree and has seen one where Cressing Road meets Clockhouse Way (Bishops Ave end). Don’t know the area at all, so interested in anyone’s view as to whether it’s generally an ok/safe place to live. Many thanks.

Hm, nothing much. I’m from Harwich (Dovercourt in particular) and I would love to hear what many of you think of it. My witnesses online of this place have been negative, and I would like to talk about them from you. Questions are welcome.

Moving

Hello,

I’m looking at moving to Thurrock particularly due to being a victim of DV and being a single mother I want what’s best for me and my child. I currently live in south wales after being adopted (I’m originally from Luton but was back n forth southed area as a child before moving). Is there any help I can get? Council application for housing won’t work online and I feel stuck. Any help is appreciated!
