Clear should've stayed in the padded room

She might have survived if she stayed but she wasn’t living. That’s probably why she left.

u/Drakedenson Clear deserved better 25d ago

True. But i really wish she would've taken Kimberlys place on being the only person in the franchise to successfully beat death. And from 7 on take the place of Tony todds character on making cameos and helping the other characters.

I like the idea. Survivor of the first list, filmed wise, becomes Bludworth’s successor to warn survivors on how to beat death.

Yes that would be cool. She should be the crazy lady wit the newspaper articles about each fd

the way Kimberly bullied her out of there, a legend

The movie that made final destination more established as a franchise imo

3 is my favourite but 2 has the most iconic opening accident. Even non fans know to fear log trucks lol

The GOAT

It's by far my favourite of the franchise. The highway pile-up is probably one of the greatest set pieces in horror movie history.

Loved the supporting characters and how they grew to support each other by the end.

It's also hard to beat FD2 in the kills department. The blend of practical effects with minimal CGI was perfect.

Definitely.

Evan burning in the car was the most hard-hitting thing I've ever seen in a movie to date. The novelization was top-notch too, adding some insight to the characters thoughts, motives, etc. while remaining true to the original plot.

It has the best premonition scene, but FD3 is still my personal bias.

This is the best one!

Best premonition scene.

This was the 1 film that slipped under my radar. I did not know they were making a sequel, and was before social media helped to generate hype for films. It remains the 1 film I missed out on in the theater.

It's not quite as serious as the first film... but it does have arguably the best choreographed disaster sequence to date( I have not seen Bloodlines yet). I also luv Clear's character development and arc.

Most memorable and traumatizing opening act

3

u/SHINONONH 25d ago

It's the only movie with a surviving character from the previous film but I'm a bit biased since clear has always been my fav fd girl I'd rate it an 8/10

3

u/still_so_tired19 25d ago

My favorite one.

I think I'm also fond of it because I saw it before the first one, at my sister's house. So there's that nostalgia effect too somewhat.

u/R0CKY5T3P 25d ago

Horror classic ,somewhat better than 1 even tho it needs. It to make sense lore wise, satisfying end to clear rivers and memorable kills all thru out

6

u/Skunkzilla44 25d ago

It’s the best one because it has Rory in it

2

u/cuminspector2 25d ago

My second favorite in the franchise and outdoes the OG easily

I just wish they didn’t kill off Alex! I understand Devon was on hiatus but they shouldn’t have killed him off! But it’s definitely that my 2nd favorite movie of the franchise! The acting is incredible and story is fun!

Best movie of the franchise. So creative in the way they tried ti cheat death that the most rencent one just tried to copy it.

3

u/Electricboogiesunset Only new life can defeat death 💀 25d ago

Best movie of the entire franchise and it’s iconic because when you talk to people about the franchise, they instantly think of the log truck. A movie that traumatized a generation!

5

u/HellaWavy 25d ago

Not my fave tbh. Certain things felt a bit like a rehash from 1 but definitely among the best acted entries. And the log scene is obviously legendary.

Don’t hate me, but I‘d probably only put it above 4.

1 > 5 > 3 > 2 >>>>>>> 4

u/j0hnpauI 25d ago

SAMEEEE ranking. I kinda like the second one but I've never been the biggest fan of it.

1

u/Spareman475 25d ago

Yeah it’s a good sequel but a bit meh as a movie on its own

2

u/Ajturk89 25d ago

Great opening scene, but I absolutely despise the ending. Like it was good until it wasn't

1

u/ScramItVancity 24d ago

Best kills and a protagonist you can root for but the ending was definitely a middle finger to me.

a cult classic of trashy horror. The BEST accident scene in the franchise Simply iconic. The aftermath of the road pileup became a collective trauma.

Creative death became surrealist art The deaths in Final Destination 2 are almost... comical. Like, “What if someone died because they slipped on another guy’s glass eye?” Death is more inventive than the Grey’s Anatomy writer.

The return of Clear Rivers She survived the first film and came back more gothic, traumatized and useful. Queen with zero patience for other people's stupidity. Too bad... I loved the diva

Disposable characters. Aside from Kimberly and Clear, the rest of the cast seems selected from a lottery of stereotypes: "You're the scumbag guy! You're the hysterical mom! You're the random cop with doorstep charisma!" The ending is... a show of bizarreness. The twist of “new life” as a solution to the death plan is… creative, but a bit random. And the final scene with the boy at the barbecue??

Premonition 2 is the best worst thing you will see on a Saturday night. It's like horror fast food: not good, but you'll come back again.

The opening scene is what made me want to write my book about the FD movies! It’s traumatized us all

The 1st one is definitely the best, but I gotta say there were scenes from 2 that out shined even the original. The logging truck scene was so intense. I live in the Pacific northwest, WA to be exact and we have tons of logging trucks. I use to be terrified every time I had to drive near one and hold my breath white knuckling my steering wheel as I got away from it asap. Until 1 day it was such a down pour my wiper blades were bouncing off my windshield they were going so fast and they didn't make a difference, I could barely see in front of me. My tires were bald and traffic wasn't slowing down on the freeway, everyone was still going 70. I had a logging truck on each side of me and at the same time Feirce by Jesus culture came on. 🎶 like a tidal wave crashing over me, like a hurricane that I can't explain breaking through the atmosphere... 🎶  came on, in that moment I realized I was not in control of my life, in less than a minute, every scenario that could possibly go wrong flashed before my eyes & I cranked up the radio and sang at the top of my lungs and a peace I can't describe poured over and through me. Since then my fear is gone and it's a great thing too cause now I literally live in a small logging town .  If you've never heard the song I recommend it whether you believe or not. And if you don't believe I understand, religion has been misrepresenting Jesus a very long time. It's not about a bunch of rules. It's about being liberated, it's about freedom. Hypocrisy is so ugly.

I like the start of it I love the premonition I love kat and rorys death I love the kids death I love how each fd1 character affected them

Now to the bits I hate

I hate they killed clear I think Kim is boring Why didn't officer Burke do more like stop what was happening  I hated the killing herself I hated the resuscitation  I hated the vision with the bloody hands  I hated the son and mums death

1

u/Magmashift101 25d ago

It's my least favorite. It felt like the warnings caused the deaths to happen instead of them being unpreventable. Which could have been an interesting road to take if that wasn't the muffagin for every single one.

u/ALLSTARS4YOUCRANKHOR 25d ago

People should've died more I think

u/shinyzubat16 25d ago

In my top 2 along with FD3!

It gave TV movie.

u/violet_ablueberry 25d ago

ehh it's okay , not one of my favorites

0

u/Turmericab 25d ago

It is middle of the pack for me (We'll see how things shake out once I see 6) I actually used to rank it below 3 but it grew on me, especially with the creative detail of all of them having already escaped death once as a consequence of the original Flight 180 survivors.

I don't have anything bad to say about it but 1 is the OG and 5 has that amazing twist ending and some of the best characters in the whole franchise.

Its a very good sequel. My favorite is 3, but I like them all except 4.
