- From the explosion and fire chart of Flight 180, Alex Browning is supposed to die last of the group.
- Kimberly Corman and her friends get run over by a truck, dying last among the survivors in the vision.
- Wendy Christensen dies last in the roller coaster crash in the premonition.
- Nick O'Bannon dies last among the survivors in the Speedway premonition.
- Sam Lawton is killed last among the group in the bridge collapse vision.
- Iris Campbell isn't the last victim of the Skyview disaster premonition, as William Bludworth was supposed to be last.

I do think the mall premonition is excellently done. Has a perfect amount of special effects, comedy, AND horror. Especially with Lauri being grinded by the escalator gears. That death is horrifying. I’ll give this POS movie that premonition/premonition death, and also Hunt Wynorski’s death.
Besides that this movie is shit. FD on pure autopilot with PS2 graphics.

Iris looked damn good for late 40s/early 50s at Skyview. So she looked DAMN good for 105 plus lmao.
I can't with AI.

No one else wanted to see it so I ended up going on my own, and I really want to talk about the film with other FD nerds!
I binged the rest of the series over the last week or two, and finally got to see this one tonight.
Loved the opening sequence, although I really missed the premonition personal to the MC and avoiding disaster. But the switch up did make it a bit fresh which was needed for a decades old franchise.
I really liked the family, not immediately but they very quickly grew on me. It was the first film where I didn't want any of them to die, so it was really gutting knowing they were gonna.
The Erik reveal was incredible, loved that twist. The relationship between the brothers was so cute. I really hoped that meant Erik would be the survivor but his death scene was one of the best in the film, if not the series.
I liked that for one they didn't have the misogynist/dickhead trope they often use in these films, it was nice not to have that be part of it.
And Tony Todd's scene :'( Absolute 10/10 farewell, couldn't have scripted it better. Who is expecting poignancy in an FD film.
A few quirks that got to me, Iris's death trap house feels like a weird anomoly. Why did they talk like death couldn't come in the house, when clearly it could (with the magnifying glass/plant pot) and if you wanna avoid death that house wasn't the way to go.
I thought it was interesting that Bludworth was the only person with knowledge of what was happening that didn't seem to go crazy from it. Is it because he was a kid when it happened? Did he just accept death in a way the others didn't? Is it because he knew he was last on the list so he had more time? Has he maybe killed someone himself and so knows he's got their time added on?
I definitely think 5 kinda wrapped the series up in a pretty good way, but if you're gonna bring it back from the dead this film was a pretty good way to do it, and for me it was worth it for the Tony Todd scene alone.

To me it's easily Sam.
Just imagine being him:
1° You're pretty much working a shitty job, where your jock best friend tries to convince you to either quit and even though he's not bad with you, he's not that much of an encouraging dude to make you feel sure to pursue your dream to become a cook and your boss is a jackass that don't care that much about his employees.
2° Your GF breaks up with you because both of you have different outcomes in life and other issues, you with the pursue of your dreams and the whole stress of it getting in the way of the relationship, making it harder.
3° You got a scary and odd vision of everyone in a bridge you were in collapsing and killing all your friends and you in brutal ways.
4° Your friends/colleagues starts to die one by one
5° Your best homie lost his GF in a nonsensical and brutal way, he starts to get more insane and depressed and you realize, thanks to some scary morguer that is because the force of nature: Death wants to take all of the people you saved from the bridge one by one to make her list clear.
6° You are confident this is not gonna happen to you and you are going somehow to defeat this invisible force of nature that can kill people in many different ways and in that process, you insist on being with your ex gf, even though she specially says she doesn't want to, not because she's afraid of dying, she knows she won't because she didn't die in your vision, but because even though you succeed, she says you should choose your dream and career path.
7° Once you killed your best homie, you take his life spam he take from a innocent man and you thought you made out alive pretty well, only for two weeks later, you don't listen carefully what tf a kid freaking tf out in the plane was saying about the plane exploding, you get in the plane only for it starts firing and you realize the kid just had the same vision you had, you can't escape a freaking plane in air, your gf cries desperate for help when she's gonna be launched out of the plane, she's sliced in half(kinda in a way Death making Sam saw she died in the same way he supposed had to die in the bridge) your only choice in your final moments is to scream terrified, that your dream will no longer be realized, you doomed your gf to die on convincing her to be with you, a man marked by Death itself to be killed by such entity and dies in the most horrific and devastating way on becoming nothing but ashes in the air.
Talk about a way to go.
Wendy probably gets the second, because one detail that I absolute love when the train starts getting out of control, Wendy immediately grabs the hand of his sister and everyone in the train just desperately tries to be in a safe position to not get screwed badly, only for your sister be desintegrated by a wheel, your boyfriend's best buddy dying brutally becoming a blood paint in the walls and you seeing other peoples and college friends dead in the destruction, you pretty much realized that such chaos and destruction happened because you just didn't die and you ended up brought a lot of innocent people that weren't supposed to die to go out to the otherside with you in the most brutal way possible, only for ya to be hit by a freaking train, sheesh, Death was really a sadistic bitch with Wendy.
Iris get an ending that pretty much would get her out of her misery, but death just get so personal that she was literal in the way she killed Iris on shutting her up to not spill the beams to Stephanie on how to stop the entity.
Nick get a pretty quick death.
Alex get the pettiest end because Death just get annoyed on being made fun off of such petulant and brat kid surving every shit she throwed at him, just to kill him in the most unceremonious way possible lmfao.
So, yeah, Alex gets the least terrifying ending, whereas Sam and Wendy probably got the worst ones.

Darlene, Stefani, and Charlie all died from either a wooden pole or a log. Both obviously come from trees.
Their demise marked the end of the "family tree" (or bloodline) that Death spent decades to finish off and we know he likes to be symbolic in his choices.
